We are one of the first to try Huda Beauty’s new Easy Blur Foundation – and here’s how we found it

It's tipped to go viral, but is it actually any good?

At this point, Huda Beauty needs no introduction: they’ve been killing the innovative, viral beauty game since 2013, and have quickly become one of the most popular beauty brands on the shelves. So many viral videos and trends have had us stuffing our make-up bags (and emptying our bank accounts) with every one of Huda Beauty’s most popular products we’ve been fortunate enough to get our hands on.

The brand is launching a brand-new liquid foundation range on 2nd September, called Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation. The name is based on the formula - infused with skin-smoothing and pore-blurring ingredients, like niacinamide to help visibly minimise pores, and silica to give a naturally airbrushed finish.

According to Huda’s website, it’s a lightweight formula that’s comfortable on the skin, is available in 29 shades, and is made with non-comedogenic ingredients – it certainly seems like this could be one of Huda Beauty’s best products.

As if that wasn’t enough, they’re also launching Huda Beauty Easy Blur Primer to go with it. Described as ‘an ultra-blurring primer that is good for your skin’, the skin smoothing product blurs pores and preps for makeup application, creating an airbrushed effect. Acting as a perfect oil-controlling base, this product is the ultimate makeup hack we’ve been needing to keep our glam in place all day, and it works flawlessly underneath the Easy Blur foundation. The new primer and foundation are designed to work in tandem with Huda’s bestselling Huda Beauty Easy Bake Powder.

We were lucky enough to be a few of the first to try Easy Blur before its launch. Here’s what happened when we put it to the test.

Huda Kattan describes Easy Blur as a ‘weightless real-life filter foundation’, and honestly, I think this sums it up almost perfectly. Overall, I really love this foundation. It gave glow, but not too much, and it stayed put pretty well, even after I walked all the way home from Aldi with my food shop while testing it.

The formula isn’t too matte and isn’t too dewy. It’s slap bang in the middle – a serum-like consistency that feels ultra lightweight on skin and doesn’t leave any dry patches. Personally, I have acne-prone skin and also suffer from some scarring and dark spots and, honestly, I don’t always like using a lot of product, so I really love a formula that has strong coverage and will cover things up in a few swipes. I’m glad to report that this definitely does that for me, the airbrushed effect it gives is like no other. Would I still need to wear concealer with it? Yes, but only a small amount would be required, which in my eyes is a huge win.

My powder contour and blush applied over the foundation beautifully – I was impressed that the product didn’t flake away or ball up on my skin as it can tend to do with some other liquid formulas. Once the rest of my makeup was applied, the base melted nicely into my skin almost undetectably. It will definitely be staying in my makeup bag from now on.

I don’t want to sound dramatic, but I think I’ve just found my new favourite foundation. As someone with naturally dry skin along with a bad habit of touching my face too much, most foundations leave me looking patchy by 4pm. However, Huda Beauty Easy Blur lasted flawlessly throughout the ultimate test: The Eras Tour. Unlike the rest of my glam, this buildable foundation lasted through hours of dancing in a sweaty crowd of Swifties, along with a rainy walk home. Yep it is THAT long-lasting.

Be warned, less is more with this foundation. Despite feeling as a lightweight as skin tint, it actually packs a serious coverage punch. Just a small amount practically erased a few pesky pimples on my chin, with my friends commenting on how flawless my skin was looking. My favourite bit was the gorgeous radiant finish which literally lasted all day and night without drying out or sinking into fine lines around my eyes and forehead. Consider me converted.

P.S Huda Beauty’s shade range is brilliant for anyone with naturally tanned skin who doesn’t want to look like they’ve been Tangoed!

This foundation formula is truly the answer to my prayers -  it's hydrating, melts like butter but still delivers ample coverage. Perfect for anyone like me who just can't get on board with skin tints (my acne scars said no!) but also doesn't want to contend with a gloopy 'clubbing' foundation just to go to the office or return an ASOS parcel. It's marketed to help blur the skin and it definitely lives up to its expectations whilst feeling lightweight and somehow giving a 'skin-like finish'. My favourite part is how easy it is to buff into the skin and how it gives a slight luminous gleam without looking sweaty or glittery.

I've been wearing this all week and can confirm it doesn't go cakey or patchy throughout the day. It's the ultimate all-rounder and I predict this to dominate your TikTok FYP very soon.
