We love a bit of self-care and all this time at home has really given us an excuse to look after ourselves inside and out. Each week, we'll be asking the celeb lot to share their Sunday self-care routines, because taking care of yourself is more important than ever.

This week it's all about Luisa Zissman, The Apprentice star turned podcast host who has made a successful career by telling it how it is. From hilarious rants on Aldi checkouts to show-offs on Instagram, we are so here for her refreshingly honest takes.

Luisa co-hosts the Lu-Anna podcast with Anna Williamson and together they chat weird confessions, funny stories and opinions on trending news - all whilst giving us very #relatable insight into their lives. Er, apart from updates on #ZissmanTowers, of course.

The star has just launched a second edit with Style Cheatand it's full of mood-boosting prints, chic silhouettes and matching fascinators all made for wowing at the races.

"I'd always struggled to find affordable fashion with really beautiful matching hats," Luisa tells heat at the fabulous launch of her new collection.

Luisa chats self-care routines, book recommendations and the must-have £18 cream she swears by...

On self-care

Luisa Zissman

As a mum of three and a busy work schedule to contend with, Luisa is constantly busy, but how does she relax on a rare day off?

"I'm not that good at self-care in a cosmetic sense, but my number one thing to do that relaxes me is to spend time with my horses with no people or no phone. Probably when I'm riding is the only time I put my phone down and it's really nice to have that time where no one is bothering me. To me, that's self-care, just being removed from everyone and everything and having one on one time with these animals I absolutely adore.

"Other than that I'm a terrible self-care person! When I'm really cold and I've been riding, I'll get in a bubble bath. I always use this Tropic Tahitian & Coconut Bath Foam and Epsom Salts because I always have muscle aches and pain because I work out so much.

On make-up favourites

When it comes to make-up, Luisa prefers a more natural look

"Day-to-day, I don't really wear a lot of make-up. I love a tinted SPF and sometimes mascara. I love the Benefit Rollerlash Mascara, it's amazing. I use a lot of Iconic London products too as I find them so easy to use. I absolutely love their Illuminator, just adding a couple of little drops really brings your face out."

On skincare

Luisa Zissman

"I can't live without Egyptian Magic! It literally does everything, from baby's sore bums to leaving your face nice and smooth. My favourite thing in my make-up bag is definitely Egyptian Magic, it's super cheap and super good.

"Recently I've also been using aDr. Leah moisturiser, who's a really dear friend and is bringing out her own skincare range. I don't know if that's gone to market yet but she gave me a bottle of it and it's incredible."

On LuAnna: The podcast

Luanna podcast

The podcast she shares with Anna Williamson started four years ago 'as something to do' now has ammassed millions of listens and a loyal fanbase, but what does Luisa think is the secret sauce to their success?

"I think it's just a really genuine friendship between two people that can have a laugh at each other. We don't always agree on everything, but we are always really good friends at the end of the day. I think it's really important nowadays to be able to put aside differences. So many people are ready to be like, 'oh, I don't like what they said there, let me block them from social media' and it's so pathetic.

"I think Anna and I may not agree on everything, but ultimately, we adore each other. We really get on. It's so nice in adult life to find a friend that you can really belly laugh with. Just to share that with everyone and everyone listens and they're like, 'Oh my god, me too!' and it's just really nice."

How do the girls prepare for filming? Are there any scripts?

"We have a loose structure which we follow, the podcast skeleton I always call it. We always go in the same order, so we catch up, we do messages, we do news stories, our weird of the week, confessions and my rants. The structure is the same, but it's never ever rehearsed. I think if it was it just wouldn't work. No one wants to hear something rehearsed, it's just not genuine."

On tour

LuAnna The tour

After being rescheduled a few times because of COVID, LuAnna The Tour has now officially begun with venues sold out everywhere across the UK. So for anyone with a ticket, what can they expect from the duo?

"Just two middle-aged women being absolute twats and making you laugh. I think it's going to be a real girls' night out with friends. Just to see us live and be part of it and a little part of LuAnna. We're super excited about the tour. We don't really know what we're doing yet, we're just going to wing it!"

On book recommendations

"I read such a good book recently called Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. It was a real page-turner. I just lapped it up in two days when I was away recently and it was so nice to just sit and read a book which I never do."

On daily wellness habits

Luisa Zissman

Luisa shares she is a big fan of the supplement brand loved by celebs including Rochelle Humes, Millie Mackintosh and Molly King.

"I love JS Health vitamins, especially the Skin + Digestion and Hair + Energytablets. They are amazing. I recommend them to everyone and they're a brand actually I work with but aside from working with them, I always take them whether I'm working with them or not at that point in time."

On fitness

For Luisa, exercise is a big part of her daily routine, but does she have a fitness tip that she wished she learned sooner?

"I'd say to do what you like doing. I don't really like running, so I don't run. But I go to David Lloyd, I go to Blaze classes, I enjoy Pilates... Just find something you enjoy and there will be something you enjoy and do that, otherwise, exercise will feel like a chore."

Say it louder for those at the back. 👏🏻

On Style Cheat

Luisa

Luisa's second collaboration with Style Cheat is full of beautiful, yet affordable dresses that will see you through alll the fancy events in your calendar. It's a 10/10 and we're huge fans here at heat. So, why Style Cheat?

"I just love the brand. The dresses are really individual and I've worked with them before and the girls are lovely to work with so it was just a really natural fit. I love that I can be really involved in the design, too."

Luisa's favourite piece from the collection? If she had to pick?

"That's such a hard one, but the Luisa Belted Maxi Dress in Pastel is amazing, I really love theDarla High Neck Dress, too!"
