Self-care will forever be our favourite hobby but we appreciate that recharging and putting yourself first looks different for everyone. Each week, we'll be asking the celeb lot to share their ideal self-care Sunday routines, the hard-working beauty products they recommend to their friends and which TV show they're currently binging…
This week it's all about Maisie Smith, the actress, singer and TV personality best known for playing EastEnders' legend Tiffany Butcher, joining the cast at just seven years old. Since leaving Albert Square for good in 2022, Maisie has starred on plenty of primetime shows including Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins and has amassed two million TikTok followers thanks to her viral dance moves and infectious humour. Now, the 23-year-old has become the newest face of the G21 collection, stocked exclusively at George @ Asda. Spoiler alert: it's a total vibe.
Maisie's collection is a fresh and vibrant capsule collection stuffed with streetwear-inspired cropped bombers, laidback jerseys and versatile satin slips in a very wearable colour palette, with fun pops of red throughout.
To celebrate the new launch, Maisie chats exclusively to heat about her self-care routine, her beauty essentials and her favourite pieces from the edit...
On her daily uniform
"It's different every day. Sometimes I'll wake up and want to wear just all pink velour and the next day leather and leopard, it just depends on the day. That's why it's so hard to pack for anything because I'll never know what I want to wear!"
On her faves from her Asda edit
"There's a really nice dress that they've paired with a graphic tee. I feel like the collection is full of simple and timeless pieces that you can dress up or down or make them look sporty or make them smarter. That's my favourite part, finding something that you think looks normal but pairing it with something else to make it look high fashion."
On styling tricks
"I'm really into linen at the minute, it's so comfortable. It feels like PJs but looks really classy. I love mixing things, so I might wear a linen skirt but then put a hoodie on with it to give it a relaxed, soft look."
On self-care routines
"I'll be honest, I do love to clean, as much as my mum would beg to differ - when I lived at home, my room was disgusting! But since I've got my own house, I really take such pride in my house and I find it so therapeutic just blitzing it.
"Every morning, me and my boyfriend [Max George] will go and play tennis at the gym even though I'm crap! I literally still can't hit the ball, but I really have to keep myself busy because especially with my job, you're always in and out of employment. So when you're not working it's really, really hard to stay motivated and keep the energy when I've technically got nothing to get up for if I've not got a job that day or for the next few days. I always try and get up and do something. I like to keep myself busy and feel like I've been productive.
"When I do relax or want to chill after a busy work day, me and my boyfriend will just lay in bed, I love drawing on my iPad whilst he puts on the football."
On make-up must-haves
"I always use Made By Mitchell's Curve Case Palette, £22.50. It's got every colour, you've got all the blush shades, all the bronze shades and because I'm always travelling about, it's much easier to have everything you need in one case. I take that everywhere I go. I always, always have a red lipstick with me. I take Clinique's Black Honey Lipstick, £24.50 everywhere I go - I've got one in every bag. Because if I feel like I don't look good or I wake up and don't feel myself, I just slap on the lipstick and I suddenly just feel so cool. It makes you look fashionable. I always say, 'I'm not ugly, I just haven't got my red lip on!'

On make-up tips
"Since getting my make-up done a lot I've realised that less product is more. I've got really nice freckles that I always want to show so I found that using liquid-based products like a liquid blush and a liquid bronzer is a lot better than just going in with a heavy foundation. I'm so pale and where I used to just cover up my freckles, I would look like a ghost!"
On budget beauty buys
"I swear by the TIGI BedheadCream. I've got such dry hair and I just slather my hair in this and it feels so soft. I've used it since I was 16, and I've always lived by it."
On skincare
"Skincare is a big one for me. If I haven't scrubbed in the shower or washed my hair, as long as I've done my skincare, I do feel clean. It's a very therapeutic thing for me and I always feel better when I've done my skincare. If I feel a bit down, as long as I've done my skincare I always feel a bit nicer.
"I've got quite good skin and I'm not acne-prone, but if I do have a breakout or spots or I'm quite dry I put on the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm, £10.90 on like a face mask and I wake up and my skin is beautiful, I recommend it to everyone."

On fitness routines
"I'm quite balanced at the moment and love playing tennis every day. Then maybe two or three times I'll go to the gym and go on the treadmill for a bit. I never really force myself to do anything. I just put a really banging playlist on, something like 'Unwind Noughties'. The other day I was on the treadmill singing, "I'm like a bird!" I loved it and it's such a nicer way to exercise. I'm just enjoying it and not trying too hard. I'm not doing it to lose weight or tone up, but because it keeps me healthy.
On wise advice
"For me, I'm really trying to just do what I want. I know it sounds stupid but I think a lot of times I've been a 'yes' person or I've stayed out with people even though I really just wanted to go home and go to bed. I'm now in my era where I feel like I can say no to stuff. I think it's one of those things you realise as an adult. As a kid, you're always told you don't say no. That's my mantra at the moment - to do what you want and remember you can say no."
Quickfire round:
Show you're currently binging? I'm re-watching Doctor Who, because of the new doctor and I've always loved Doctor Who growing up it's my favourite show.
Go to cuppa? I don't like hot drinks, but my go-to is a vanilla iced latte.
Go-to loungewear brand? I'm literally obsessed with linen clothing, so a nice linen two-piece. It's so comfy but also looks cool and kind of stylish.
Everyday perfume? Arizona Bloom by Floral Street, £28. I always keep a mini one in my bag.
Go-to takeaway order? We get a lot of Turkish food and I love a chicken shish.
Favourite candle? Pomegranate Noir from Jo Malone, £56.
