Milk Makeup's Cooling Water Jelly Tints have finally arrived in the UK (after selling out in the States, twice!) and offer a fun, long-lasting and innovative way to apply blush.
The literal sticks of jelly are made from 90% natural ingredients, including cooling aloe and seawater and promise a gorgeous swipe of colour to the cheeks and lips. The fun, bright shades include Chill, Spritz Burst and Splash.
The weightless water stains have already gone viral online, but at £22 are they actually any good?
In the name of journalism, the heat team put the fun launch through its paces to give you the real tea. Is it really worth your hard-earned cash? ☕️
Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tints - an honest review

Shade tested: Spritz
"I am a self-confessed blush addict, so when Milk Makeup brought out this new lip and cheek tint, I was super intrigued and knew I had to try it out.
"I tested the shade Spritz, and it was absolutely perfect for my light, cool-toned skin. I love that while it gives a good glow to cheeks and lips, there’s no overpowering glitter or sparkle. Beyond the tint’s appearance, its hydrating jelly texture feels so refreshing on skin and provides the most amazing cooling effect.
"Also, a little product does go a long way, so it’s definitely worth the £22. You can apply a thin layer for a sheer, flush of colour and sheen or you can build up the intensity to make more of a statement. It dries down to a non-tacky finish and doesn’t look or feel greasy."

"Before testing this lip and cheek tint, as fun (and delicious) as it looks, I truly thought I wasn’t going to like it. When it comes to make-up, a full-coverage, matte look is what I go for, so naturally, I favour powder blush and stay away from liquids and creams. Oh, how I was wrong. This product pleasantly surprised me. I love it so much, that it’s made it into my day-to-day make-up bag – specifically, the poppy pink shade Burst. Stunning!
"To see if it would work with my matte make-up, I lightly set my base with translucent powder, then applied the tint with a brush. Apparently, this is the best way to apply – which, I know now, after stupidly patting the tint onto my lips using my fingers. Stain central!
"It also dries super quickly, so make sure to work fast. Apply to one section, blend that out immediately and repeat, section by section. I popped some on my cheeks, temples, across the bridge of my nose – and my lips, topped with the brand’s Kush Lip Oil in the clear Green Dragon shade. These two products together are a dreamy lip combo.
"Would I buy this tint again? Absolutely. In fact, I might just stock up on this one."

Shade tested: Chill
"I absolutely loved this blusher. It was so easy to apply, had great (but buildable) coverage and blended easily with a make-up sponge. I'd use this blush for my everyday make-up and would use it as a base for a glam look (I'd add a powder blush on top for a full make-up look)."
"I chose the shade Chill because I love that sun-kissed look and this shade really gives off that vibe."

Shade tested: Chill
"I love this blush for giving a healthy, dewy flush to the complexion in an instant. I used the shade Chill and in no time at all, it made me look as though I definitely complete marathons in my spare time and are forever glugging green juice smoothies."
"I wasn't sure if I loved the colour on my lips, but loved the Strawberry girl vibe it gave to my cheeks and was surprised at how long it lasted and the colour payoff, despite it feeling (and looking like!) like a stick of jelly. As the application is so cooling and hydrating, this is definitely going to be everywhere this summer."

"It’s like putting a cooling bar of jelly on your face. Minus the stickiness!
"I’ve always played it safe with a powder blush and never actually used a liquid so, considering I’m not very adventurous when it comes to blush, I was very apprehensive to try the new Milk Makeup tint.
My first impressions were ‘Wow, this is really dark and how on earth is this going to look?’ But after what I can only describe as a 'fresh-out-of-the-fridge roller on my cheekbones' I was pleasantly surprised!
"I was worried it would interfere with my foundation and cause blotchiness, but it blended effortlessly, to give a healthy, natural-looking glow. It also lasted throughout the day including a lunchtime workout - I’m sold.
"Eek I think I’m converted to a liquid blusher girl!"
