Naturally healthy nails

If you like sheer nail looks, you'll be glad to know that natural nails are very in as we head into 2025. "The beauty forecast for 2025 is clear: naturally healthy nails are stealing the spotlight, driven by the ever-popular 'clean girl aesthetic'," says Lynn. "This trend celebrated understated elegance, focusing on fresh, natural beauty that feels effortless yet polished. It's not just about appearance - healthy nails are the foundation of this look, and achieving them requires targeted care, quality products, and mindful routines."

Mocha mousse

Loyal to neutral manis? 2025's mocha mousse nails are a whole mood. "'Mocha Mousse' has been named the colour of next year," says Lynn. "Pantone Mocha Mousse is described by the Pantone Colour Institute as a mellow brown that conjures feelings of comfort and warmth."

Midnight blue

Lynn predicts we're going to go heavy on midnight blue tones this year. "Whether it's the Taylor Swift effect or the love of dark hues coming back in popularity, deep navy and midnight blue nails are making a comeback," she says. "With dark greens recently having had their time in the spotlight, it's great to see a navy shade have its moment, as it can add a touch of elegant mystery."

Chrome

Chrome nails have been trickling back for a while now, and we can expect to see them more and more as we head into 2025. Tapping into the futuristic feel we're seeing across both fashion and beauty, it's set to be big news. "Chrome nails have featured time and time again in the trend reports of recent years, with the famed 'glazed doughnut' making chrome cool again," says Lynn. "Silver in particular is a versatile option that was a popular choice at London Fashion Week SS25, and adds a metallic, futuristic feel."

Lavender milk
Love milky nails? You're in luck as barely-there lilac nails are set to be big next year. "Lavender Milk offers a fun twist on the traditional milky nail trend that stormed into fashion in 2024," says Lynn. "Try a creamy white and barely-there lilac tone to stay ahead of the trends in 2025."

Cat eye nails

From late 2024, we began to see 'cat eye' nails everywhere, and the trend seems to be continuing in full force for 2025. Its popularity has only been emphasised by the release of the Mylee Cat Eye Gel Nail Polish this year, so you can do your own nails at home without paying out for a trip to the salon. Giving a multi-dimensional, velvety luxe look to your nails, this trend easily elevates your nail game.
