This H&M viral mini skirt is so Y2K, it hurts

It's safe to say that mini skirts, and more specifically micro-mini skirts, are having their 15 minutes of fame - and we're totally here for it.

Low-rise mini skirts started out as a painful (yet, iconic) memory of the early 2000s, and saw their revival in 2022, thanks to none other than Miu Miu. Ever since, high street brands have caught up, creating their own versions of the ultra-mini. The latest favourite? H&M's Short Twill Skirt.

First spotted on TikTok by creators doing try-on hauls, the mini skirt gained interest thanks to its low-rise mini fit, contrast stitching and ultra low-waist. It's basically Y2K in a skirt, and we're kind of obsessed. Even better, the skirt is just under £15 making it super affordable, regardless of whether you've just spent your whole paycheck on a trip to Spain (oops).

While the brown version is going viral, the skirt is also available in black or white if you feel like switching things up.

Comments on the TikTok videos are mixed with some calling the skirt 'insanely short' and other hilarious comments including 'It's all fun and games until you have to walk up the stairs'.

It's safe to say that the mini skirt is absolutely cheek-baring, but with summer just around the corner - what better time to get the legs out? We didn't spend three hours fake tanning before bed for no reason, after all.
