Self-care will forever be our favourite hobby but we appreciate that recharging and putting yourself first looks different for everyone. Each week, we'll ask the celeb lot to share their ideal self-care Sunday routines, the hard-working beauty products they recommend to their friends and which TV show they're currently binging…

This week it's all about Jessy Potts, the bombshell who entered the Love Island 2024 villa on day 23 and quickly won over the nation with her level-headed and calm aura, her incredible outfits and cementing herself as a girls' girl in the villa.

Hitting it off during their very first date, Jessy left the show arm in arm with co-star, Joey Essex who have since confirmed they are in their 'exclusive era' in a loved-up snap on Instagram.

Jessy chats exclusively to heat about plans after the show, villa beauty routines and the power of manifestation...

On life after Love Island

"It's crazy, it's completely turned my world upside down, it's completely different to anything I've done before but I'm absolutely loving it, trying to make the most of it and enjoy every minute, because I know it can be short-lived. Being in the Love Island bubble and coming out to a different kind of bubble is crazy, but I love it."

Have there been any surreal moments for Jessy?

"When we first landed, I had about three hours of sleep before doing the OK! Magazine shoot, so doing that was insane. I grew up reading magazines with my mum so to be doing a magazine shoot like that was amazing and I absolutely loved it. Also, the film premiere for It Ends With Us was incredible, I read the book years and I'm a massive Gossip Girl fan, so that was crazy to me."

On that fashion TikTok

Jessy shared a TikTok video last year titled, 'What I’d wear if I went on Love Island' and proceeded to wear some of the same outfits a year later, in this season's show. Err, did Jessy manifest the whole thing?

"I was supposed to go on Love Island last year, so I already had the outfits and I didn't think I'd be going on this year, so I made a TikTok based on the outfits I'd bought for the show that didn't get to use. Then I ended up taking some of them with me.

"I don't think anybody knows that I was out there last year for Casa Amor but then they wanted me to be a bombshell instead. So I got flown home to be put on hold, to fly back out there, but there wasn't a right time. Timing is everything with Love Island. But it all worked out so well and everything happens for a reason."

On villa fashion

"We had eBay come in every so often, but we didn't get rails and rails of clothes. Every week we got a few bits added here and there and obviously, you won't love everything that comes in. We loved a lot of it to be fair, but at the same time, a lot of the girls were re-wearing each other's clothes a lot because choices were limited.

"Even with eBay bringing in loads of clothes, it was still tough, especially near the end with only a few of our wardrobes in there. But they were great with the whole bikini and swimwear situation and everything as well and we got to keep those bits."

On self-care routines

Life is currently mega busy for the star, but what does a rare day off look like for Jessy?

"I don't necessarily enjoy going to the gym, but I'll make sure I do it - so I go to the gym, tidy my whole flat, like completely blitz it, full body shower, face mask, skincare routine and just watching a movie with a face mask on. That's the perfect chill day."

On Love Island beauty must-haves

"I love a bit of Benefit's Hoola Bronzer, £32.50. I also swear by EFFN Beauty Tanning Water, £18.50, it's a smaller fake tan company but their tan looks so natural and it's so good if your face doesn't tan as much. I definitely used that a lot in the villa.

"The Kylie Skin Lip Oil, £24 was always such a staple piece and we were all blitzing the Fenty Beauty Lip Gloss in Fu$y Heat, £22 - I think everyone looks better with a Fenty lip. It was our fave and we ran out of that - even Boots was struggling to get it for us because we used it so much!"

On budget beauty buys

"Boots do really good skincare bits and we were using a lot of that in the villa. We also loved the face masks, whenever we were having a down day we'd all be using those. We also all rinsed Weleda Skin Food, £8.62 - it's so good, honestly."

On daily wellness habits

"I am really into manifestation, I think what you put it to the universe you get back. I always try to take some time to be grateful for what I've got and what opportunities are coming to me and manifesting what I want in life. I think that what goes around comes back around.

"My friends and family have been saying to me for years that I'd go on Love Island, even my ex-boyfriend's mum when I was with him used to say to me, 'If you two ever break up, you need to go on Love Island!' Everyone manifested it for me as well so it was kind of inevitable."

On life-changing books

"My dad made me read The Secret, £9.54 years and years ago and obviously it's all about manifesting, but that is absolutely a staple for me. If you put out good energy you get good energy back and everything happens for a reason. That's definitely something I live by."

On what's next

"I just want to make the most of everything, I'm the type of person who takes every opportunity as it comes. I love to travel so I would love to do more traveling. I would love to get more into fashion and just try to make the most of what I've got and take every opportunity and just run with it. I'm not sure exactly what's to come yet but it's all very exciting."
