Here’s what to buy from M&S new-in, according to the heat team

A brilliant dupe for the viral Toteme scarf coat, this is officially going to be my first snuggly purchase of the season.

Forget the LBD, this season is all about the LLD – little leather (well faux-leather) dress, and this beauty from M&S is going straight onto my Autumn wish list. The belted design is brilliant for showing off curves, and while the short hemline nods towards this season’s mini skirt trend without exposing too much. Plus, the gorgeous green shade is perfect for the new season. I’ll be wearing mine with Ganni-style pumps and a berry lip.

These wide leg jeans are absolutely wild, I can see myself swishing through the office in them, sweeping away anyone who gets in my way as I head for the coffee machine. Outside work, a small child could snuggle inside a leg if we get caught out in the cold.

This cardigan is a must have when it comes to the transitional season. Button it up and wear as a jumper alone or wear it as added layer to keep warm. And if you’re trying to execute the cool girl look, throw the cardi over the shoulders of your blazer or tee. It will become the most versatile piece in your wardrobe.

I can always be tempted by a great jacket, particularly a leather one. This one from M&S is in the most autumnal brown shade you can possibly get and has a super flattering collared style. I'm picturing this with a pair of brown loafers and a slouchy white tee for an easy transitional outfit.

This pink cardigan is absolutely adorable, I need it in my wardrobe. For me, it screams autumnal vibes and similar to the model I’ll be wearing it with gold accessories, jeans and trainers.

The accessories at M&S recently have been chef’s kiss and this little black bag is of no exception. The classic design is the perfect finishing touch to any outfit. I love the gold hardware that makes it look way more expensive than it actually is. I’m even tempted to snap it up in a second colour, it comes in burgundy and green too…

I am fully onboard the ballet flat train and this M&S pair is affordable, stylish and - according to rave reviews - comfortable. Perfect for making an effort on office days.

Right now, I’m obsessed with buckle detailed accessories, and these cute boots are only fuelling the obsession further. Plus, the dark brown shade will go with pretty much every outfit without feeling as heavy as a pair of black boots. Oh and did I mention the gold buckles are seriously on trend? Oh, HULLO Marks and Spencer. This gold jacket is a piece and half. Not only is it cool AF it also comes with a hood. Do you know how hard it is to find a cool, waterproof, coat with a hood? Very hard. UNTIL NOW.

Where practicality meets style. Rock two trends in one with these metallic ballet pumps, perfect for day to night or a great party option if you’re not feeling the heels. These would look great with wide leg jeans and a baggy jumper or a winter floral maxi dress and chunky silver jewellery.

A wide leg trouser, particularly in this grey shade, is something you can wear all year long. My height is almost always an issue with finding a pair of trousers that fit - I'm 5'4 for reference, but the great thing about M&S is that its trousers come in three different lengths, so the 'short' length is perfect.

I need this cashmere vest in my wardrobe. The bright orange is everything and I’ve decided I’ll either tone it down with some jeans or dress it up with a mini skirt and heels. My wardrobe is oh so ready for autumn.

Chocolate brown is proving to be one of the hottest hues for autumn and this A-line skirt along with the matching top is top of my wish list. Faux-leather always looks super chic and the plus side of a co-ord is being able to mix and match the separates with the rest of your wardrobe.
