There are some fashion collaborations that just make sense.
Remember when H&M did that stunning collection with Balmain which resulted in people actually CAMPING outside the store?
How about Kate Moss and Topshop back in 2007? The iconic yellow dress was everywhere for the next five years.
That's exactly how we feel about the Oh Polly x Bratz range which has just launched because, honestly, nothing screams Y2K cool like diamanté, oversized belts and metallic mini skirts.
In case you weren't as obsessed with Bratz back in the day - were you more of a Powerpuff Girls fan? Or perhaps a Totally Spies girlie? - the four main dolls went by the names Sasha, Yasmin, Cloe and Jade and we aren't kidding when we say they were style icons.
It may seem wild that a bunch of dolls could offer such sizzling fashion inspo but not only were the Bratz sassy and cool AF, but they each had their own aesthetic with a wardrobe that would have made Barbie jealous.
With the rise of Y2K fashion in the past few years, we cannot believe it has taken a fashion brand this long to create a collection inspired by the iconic fashion babes of the noughties but we sure are glad it was Oh Polly who took it upon themselves to do so.
The 27-piece collection is brimming with gloriously nostalgic designs including hot pants, bandanas and handkerchief tops with some pieces even named after the four main Bratz characters.
The line is made up of designs in a range of dreamy colours including bubblegum pink, aqua, violet and champagne with pops of black to break up the candy hues. Oh Polly has managed to keep their feminine yet cool vibe which is what they are known for while still clearly creating a strong look that is Bratz-inspired.
Sparkles and glitter add a girly touch and mesh well with the dreamy sweet shades, but the buckles, corset detailing and cut-out designs provide the edge needed to keep it from being too saccharine.
Available online in UK sizes 4-18, the Bratz range falls into the higher price range of the brand's usual products, varying from £45 to £90, but with OhPolly you can always rely on the pieces to be top-tier quality.
All we need to know is who to speak to at Oh Polly about creating a Winx-inspired fashion line next, and yes, of course, we want it to include wings.
