Not content with being actual Queen Bey, the* Bow Down* singer has now turned her talents to shoe design. Overachiever much?
We’re joking, obvs. The news that Beyoncé has teamed up with shoe designer Guiseppe Zanotti to create a pair of super heels makes us giddy. And not because we’ll ever be able to afford them…
The heels are going to be an “ultra-thick platform” with a stiletto heel, perfect for doing mammoth dances on stage in, eh, Bey?
The shoes, which are bound to cost an arm, a leg and probably your liver, are set to go on sale in the next couple of weeks.
The Italian designer (Guiseppe, not Beyoncé) told Forbes magazine,
“Beyoncé has very clear ideas - she knows exactly what she wants. The thing which she then also has over other celebrities, is that she has an amazing voice. She's incredibly talented and she's an amazing dancer - she's complete. Few are like Beyoncé. I'm working on finalising the shoe with her stylist right now. And Beyoncé will then say what she likes and what she doesn't like. It will be one shoe only.”
And if there’s anyone in the world who knows how to work a pair of sky-high heels, it’s Bey.
It’s not the singer’s first foray into design. Remember her RTW House of Dereon collection, launched in 2004 with her mum Tina Knowles? Yep, that.
We wonder whether Jay Z got to have any input into his wifey’s designs. He loves a thick trainer.
