Two brand-spankin'-new Dancing on Ice 2019 contestants have been confirmed following the news that Gemma Collins and Richard Blackwood will be joining the show next year.

Both Gemma and Richard were announced as contestants on the ITV telly show by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield yesterday (October 2nd), and they're set to be joined by former Westlife star Brian McFadden and seasoned ballroom dancer James.

James - husband of Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan - was first announced today, though some fans are already claiming he could be at an unfair disadvantage due to his experience. One Twitter user said: "Surely being a choreographer @The_JamesJordan will have a slight advantage of picking up routines quicker and know how to extend and perform to a high standard."

Dancing On Ice bosses are also reportedly keen on signing up Coronation Street actress Lucy Fallon.

Many Dancing on Ice fans are loving the signing, though; with one tweeting: "Anyone moaning about James Jordan having an unfair advantage coz he’s already a dancer can jog on. For the same reason #SCD would be crap if everyone was really rubbish from the beginning, the same applies to #DOI."

Meanwhile - as his former bandmates in Westlife tease a potential comeback - Brian McFadden will be swapping that infamous key-change-stool-to-standing move for a pair of skates.

While some fans claimed the star must be 'skint,' others were loving the signing. One Twitter user said: "Redeemed yourself after GC yesterday. Good luck Brian."

We can't wait to see who else is lined up (though we still kinda wish Katie Price was doing it, tbh.)
