When it comes to this year’s new fave way to describe a crew of girls, squad, Taylor Swift has had the monopoly on nailing them. Until now.
At New York Fashion Week design legend Diane Von Furstenburg has managed to out-squad the squad queen with her impressive line up of It girls at her SS16 show. Kendall Jenner, Gigi and Bella Hadid and Jourdan Dunn joined Karlie Kloss Irina Shayk Lily Aldridge and so many more to walk the runway. It was a veritable model feast for the eyes.
But there was drama before the show actually kicked off. Backstage Kendall rushed into hair and make up with only 15 minutes to spare, the prep team immediately got to work curling her locks and applying the iridescent eye shadow all the girls rocked. Once on the catwalk flashbulbs popped as the brunette walked the runway looking stunning in a sheer playsuit with flowers in her curled hair. Yes, those are nipples you can see. This is fashion, nips are basically an accessory.
Sisters Bella and Gigi, who have already clocked up a jaw dropping catwalk appearances, sat side by side for hair and make up. Gigi’s boyfriend Joe Jonas was FROW to see his hot missus do her day job. The blonde Maybelline ambassador wowed in a plunging black gown while little sissy Bella looked fab in a printed jumpsuit.
Bella also had an admirer on the FROW. Rumoured boyfriend The Weeknd has been at her shows showing his support.
There’s something about boyfs on the FROW that makes us giddy. We would have been grinning like idiots but the models were uber profesh, not even looking in their boy’s direction. That is surely pay rise material?
