Love Island babe Montana Brown will shortly be launching a swimwear range with Skinnydip, and we are SO bloody excited. We recently sat down with her to get all the goss on her new collection, and some swimwear inspo in preparation for the summer...
What was the inspiration behind your Swim Society range with Skinnydip?
"I’m used to spending a lot of time in swimwear, but me and my friends always found we had completely different issues when buying it in swimwear ranges. We found that swimwear designs for petite women were different to swimwear designs for tall women.
"Similarly, swimsuit for big boobs has a totally different cut to swimwear for smaller boobs. I thought surely I should be able to wear the same swimsuit as my friend who’s a different body shape to me? So, I just felt like there was a gap for a range that got rid of all those categorisations, and had all the same designs for every different body shape."
Why did you want to create Swim Society?
"I know that so many girls have hang ups or things they’re not confident about. It’s natural, but in the same way most girls have something they love or want to show off. And Swim Society creates an environment where you’re allowed to wear whatever you want," said Montana.
"If you’ve got bigger boobs, you can wear the same Swim Society bikini as someone with smaller boobs. If you’re a new mum and don’t quite feel ready for a bikini - then a Swim Society swimsuit won't feel like a ‘frumpy’ option. I want my range to allow women to express what they want to express, without judgement for showing or not showing off what they’ve got!"
There’s lots of cut out design, how comes?
"Cut outs are such a statement and they can make you feel sexy whilst still covering up bits you might not want to show off."
Do your Love Island pals have swimsuits from Swim Society?
"Yes! I’ve already sent pieces to Gabby Allen, Olivia Attwood and Georgia Harrison, and Camilla Thurlow, Kaz Crossley, Laura Anderson, Ellie Brown and Zara McDermott will be getting sent some bikini’s very shortly!" Awww!
