Charli XCX launches her 2nd boohoo collection and talks to heat!

When she launched her first collection for boohoo.comlast year, Charli XCX's range sold out. Now the Sucker babe is back with her second line inspired by festivals and it looks so good, we reckon it'll be a sell out, too.

The 23-year-old singer-slash-songwriter is as known for her bright, fun wardrobe and don't care attitude as she is for creating mega hits. Charli's red carpet looks are often so risque we struggle to see how in hell she's managing to keep her nips covered (sometimes she fails).

Her pieces for boohoo.com are all bits the Boom Clap singer would wear herself. Sexy cut-out bodysuits, crops and dresses with 00s detailing like rings, lace-up panels and noodle straps all feature heavily. There are also fringed bags, kooky round sunnies and an array of footwear to indulge in.

We met up with the brunette, who models the collection herself in the (super hot) campaign shots, to talk all things fashion and ask her how she'd style up the pieces herself. Because let's face it, she's the best person to ask.

Unlike many celebs who create clothing collections, you actually wear your designs...

"Yeah I wear it all the time! It’s totally me - when I’m on stage, when I go out, when I’m chilling... And its comfortable which I like."

**What was the inspiration for this collection? **

"There’s definitely a festival element, lots of pieces with lace and a lot of burnt colours. There’s also some nightwear as daywear. It's very Y2K, millennial. The first collection was 90s inspired, this has moved on 10 years."

What's your fave piece?

"My ultimate favourite is the snakeskin dress. It has a choker, is bodycon and has a ruffly bit down the side which I really love."

How you you style it?

"I'd wear it with a slicked back ponytail and really minimal makeup. I’m really into wet-look makeup at the moment, super glossy eyelids, really sheer skin – not a lot of colour or lines."

And accessories?

"There are some cute sunglasses and a really cute mini fringed bag that goes with the fringed leotard."

Who’s style do you rate?

"I’ve always rated Rose McGowan’s style, and I love FKA Twigs and Lorde. I like people who take risks, people who aren’t afraid to express themselves and have a great time rather than follow fashion."

You wear some quite risqué looks sometimes. Do you ever feel a bit nervous you'll have a disaster?

"That actually happened [at the Golden Globes]. I was dancing to Salt 'N' Pepper a bit too crazily and, because I was wearing a chainmail dress, one of the links just popped off and the dress fell down! My boobs were OUT. I always get a bit nervous but whatever, it’s fine. Boobs... bums... everyone has them so it’s all good!"
