This year's Met Gala bash was themed Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology. Disappointly this didn't mean the carpet was overrun with dresses that transformed into planes or fascinators made from iPods. Most attendees opted for metallic gowns with lots of sequins and shimmering embellishment. Claire Danes, however, went all out and fully nailed the theme.

The Homeland star's Zac Posen gown didn't look techy at first. Yes, it is utterly stunning and possibly the most Cinderella gown we've seen in real life. But technological? Um, no. Until the lights went out and the whole thing LIT UP.

Putting the rest of the guests to shame, Claire's glimmering Cinders frock was the all-out winner of the night. Tech-tastic, beautiful and perfect on the star, we can't stop looking at pics of it. Plus, it helps that it's got a touch of Big Fat Gypsy Wedding about it.
