While we love the party season the thought of cramming our sandal-loving feet into hardcore heels terrifies us. No matter what the heel height our poor piggies are usually weeping with anger after about 2 hours of court shoe torture.

Rather than accept defeat and trudge around in slobby slip-ons we went on the hunt for a pair of pointy heels that are kind to feet. We know, it sounds totally mythical, right? Wrong! Thanks to fashion blogger extraordinaire 5 Inch & Up and River Island we reckon we might have just the pair…

Super-blogger Sandra Hagelstam has teamed up high street heroes River Island to create a capsule collection of glorious heels, our faves being these courts [£80].

Why are these babies so damn good? Well…

The point is a slim almond point, so wide enough to accommodate toes without squishing.

Criss-cross detailing shows off toe cleavage and cleverly makes feet look smaller, which is always good, right?

As a big-time heel fan Sandra knows how important comfort is and so has designed her nude and noir heels with extra cushioning in the sole. Dreamy.
