Ashley Cain and his girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee have announced their daughter Azyalia has tragically passed away at just eight months old following her battle with acute myloid leukaemia (AML).

The reality star and former footballer broke the heart-breaking news on Instagram as he wrote, “Rest In Paradise Princess 👼🏼🌈 I will always hold you in my heart until I can hold you again in heaven.’

Azyalia’s mum Safiyya added, “You are my Angel my heartbeat my soul, RIP my precious baby, you will always be with me like a handprint on my heart."

Tributes for Azaylia have flooded in on social media, with stars including Molly-Mae Hague, Shaughna Phillips and Alesha Dixon all sharing their condolences.

“Rest in paradise baby Azaylia. Too perfect for this earth that god wanted you for himself,” wrote Love Island star Molly-Mae.

Shaughna added, “💔💔💔💔💔 rest in paradise darling girl.”

“Rest in eternal peace beautiful Azaylia ❤️❤️❤️ You’ve touched all of our hearts little lion ❤️❤️❤️,” Alesha posted on her Instagram story.

Georgia Harrison commented on Ashley post, "Love you so much. Her life may have been short but she inspired so many people and has saved so many lives encouraging people to sign up to the donor list. She has done more for the world than most people will achieve in 70 years and you two have given her the strength to do so xxxx."

Azaylia with diagnosed with AML, a rare and aggressive form of cancer, just two months after she was born. She underwent three rounds of chemotherapy and urgent bone marrow transplant, but unfortunately, doctors found that Azaylia still had traces of leukaemia which began to multiply before she went into full relapse.

Ashley and Safiyya raised over £1.4million to fund CAR-T therapy in Singapore but were later told specialists were unable to help due to the extremely rare type of cancer she had. Doctors in the UK then delivered the devastating news that they had run out of treatment options, with the little one returning home to receive palliative care.

Our thoughts are with Ashley, Safiyya and their family at this time.
