It’s been four months since Cheryl last shared a selfie with her followers, and her most recent Instagram story was in June, when she thanked fans for wishing her a happy birthday.
And while many celebs have taken the chance over the course of the pandemic to slow down and take some time away from the fame game, there’s something about Cheryl’s silence that’s got fans scratching their heads and wondering if there’s something more she’s hiding.
After all, we all remember the last time she went on a social media blackout was when she got pregnant with her now three-year-old son Bear, and took a long hiatus from the spotlight. Couple that with the fact that she’s been very vocal about how much she’d love to have at least two more children, revealing plans to use a sperm donor to fulfil her dreams, and it’s no surprise that there’s some speculation she’s either getting ready to make that dream a reality, or is even already expecting another baby. According to insiders, the singer has been using her time in lockdown to focus on her future, and she’s now more determined than ever to increase her brood.
“Cheryl’s always been a bit of a recluse, so lockdown isn’t far off how she lives her life anyway,” says an insider close to the 37 year old, who – as heat has told you – has been enjoying a break from all her work commitments, but has been eyeing up a potential judging stint on Strictly Come Dancing.
“Knowing that Strictly is on the radar for September has meant she’s completely taken the time off before then to relax with Bear and just be a mum. She’s really been thriving during this ‘new normal’ and she thinks it’s the universe’s way of telling us to reflect and slow down. She’s totally dialled down her life and her diary, which means she’s really in a perfect place right now for baby number two.”

She then doubled down on the idea in January, when she said of her plans, “If time was on my side and I was in my 20s, yeah, I would wait and consider more options, or wait for somebody I felt was right. But… there is never a guarantee because there are so many variables that can happen. Life is a funny old game.” It has also been speculated that she’d thought about using a surrogate, as she didn’t want to rule out anything to realise her baby dream.

Olivia Attwood reveals why her Love Island story could've been VERY different
According to our source, turning 37 in June was a big moment for Cheryl – and she knows she’s “more than enough” to have a family on her own. “She now feels emotionally ready to be a full-time single parent,” we’re told. “With Bear, it wasn’t a choice, it was circumstance [Cheryl split from Bear’s dad Liam Payne in 2018, and the former couple share co-parenting duties]. At first, she worried about having more kids without being able to give them a father, but she’s spent a lot of time reflecting, and she’s now confident that she’s enough, and that the love and happiness they will get from her is as good as anything else.
“She’s spoken about it with her inner circle, including Liam, and she’s so excited for the future.”
