Love Island 2017 star Chris Hughes and Little Mix's Jesy Nelson set tongues wagging (and left us feeling quite peckish, tbh) after they were caught kissing in a South London kebab shop last weekend.

After the pair were spotted hanging out at a cocktail making class earlier in the week, said kebab shop snog seemed proof enough they're dating; but now Chris has broken his silence and suggested he's still single.

Speaking to The Sun Online backstage at the NTAs, Chris explained: "It’s a tough one. I’m just enjoying what I’m doing."

So, er, how's the relationship progressing?

"There’s no updates. Nothing you haven’t seen," he said. "I’m just happy with myself at the minute."

Meanwhile, heatworld had questions. Hitting the NTAs red carpet, we took the approach of asking Chris if he'd recommend the kebab shop this whole thing happened in.

"Been to any good kebab shops recently?" we probed.

"Not lately," he responded.

That isn't exactly what onlookers at the Elephant and Castle kebab joint told The Sun, Chris. Witnesses said: "They couldn’t keep their (probably greasy) mitts off one another.

"They kept pausing mid-sentence to snog, and were really affectionate.

"It may be early days but there’s definitely a real spark."

This all comes after Chris urged men to 'check themselves regularly' for testicular cancer as he revealed his brother's diagnosis.

In a heartbreaking post, Chris said: "A sad day. My brother was diagnosed with testicular cancer this lunchtime, in which we pray for a kind prognosis. He came into my room at 3am the morning after my testicular examination on tv, clearly struggling to sleep, telling me he’d found a lump and asked me if he’s checking it right. To which I told him, ‘Ben, it’s 3am, I’ll look in the morning, but if there’s a lump, go and check it checked tomorrow with the doctor’.

"Today he sent me a message telling me the news, and thanking me for making him aware, else he’d never have known he had cancer.. That literally broke my heart. Testicular cancer is a silent killer, men need realise this and check themselves regularly. It takes 10 seconds. Please do it. 🖤" [sic].
