Love Island 2018 winner Dani Dyer’s boyfriend Sammy Kimmence faces a jail sentence after pleading guilty to scamming two pensioners out of almost £34,000 while posing as a financial advisor.
Sammy, 25, appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court this morning (Monday 19 April) where he admitted to the crime after originally pleading not guilty last week.
The court heard how the stockbroker and amateur footballer, who welcomed son Santiago with Dani earlier this year, persuaded Peter Martin, 90, and Peter Haynes, 80, to allow him to invest their money for them.
His victims were legitimate clients from an investment company where he had previously worked, with Sammy taking them on when the business stopped operating.
After falsely claiming that he was authorised to provide financial services, Sammy took £33,919 from the pensioners.
Sammy plead guilty to five counts of fraud, with the judge warning his offences were so serious that he faces jail time when he is sentenced on 11 June.

Craig Harris, defending Sammy in court, said, “He is a relatively young man of previous good character, the offences go back into his late teenage years. This is a case that crosses the custodial threshold but might be within a range which I argue could be suspended.
“Quite a lot has gone into this young man's life in the last few years. He is seeking to reimburse the losses he has caused."

Last year it was claimed that Dani was “terrified” of Sammy facing jail time shortly after welcoming their son into the world.
“Dani is upset, worried, terrified. Without a court date they kind of pushed this all to the back of their minds - now it is very real,” a source said of Dani, who was heavily pregnant at the time.
“She’s expecting a child with a bloke who could go to prison. Her baby is due at the end of January and then Sammy will up in court a few weeks later. Those first few weeks of having a newborn baby are so special but it will also be the countdown to his trial,” they added to The Sun.
