It’s been six long months since we caught up with the TOWIE cast thanks to a series of delays which have pushed back series 30 (that’s right, THIRTY). But fans won’t have to wait much longer for the show to hit our screens as filming began in the Dominican Republic in June. HURRAH.
There have been a couple of changes to the cast, with some familiar and not-so-familiar faces joining the show. One newbie you’ll definitely recognise is former Love Island star Elma Pazar who appeared in the 2019 series.
While Elma didn’t find love in the villa, it seems that romance could be on the cards with one of her TOWIE co-stars – none other than James ‘Diags’ Bennewith.
Following rumours that Elma and Diags are growing close, she told heat, “I love him. I have got such a soft spot for him. We are two peas in a pod. We are really similar. He is my baby.
“I don’t know all the terms and conditions, but we both said we will get married. I’ve asked him to marry me about ten times. He’s always been like, “We’ll see!’”
Diags also spilled the tea on their relationship, telling us, “I love Elma... She is fun and we get on really well.”
Sharing his hopes of getting wifed-up, he added, “I was in a relationship off-camera but I broke up with her last year. Now, I’m back fully, ready to find the girl of my dreams. And I’m trying to settle down. I am really trying.”

Diags recently hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons when he was one of nine TOWIE cast members removed from their flight home from the Dominican Republic via Madrid. According to onlookers, the cast brought “shame” on the show with their “lunatic” behaviour.
An insider told The Sun, “They were refusing to adhere to safety and security rules, and giving it the ‘big one’.
“They now face a struggle to return to the UK - and can expect short shrift from ITV bosses when they do get home.”
However, Diags denied any wrongdoing and told his followers, “Got thrown off a flight in Madrid for no reason at all."
