Sharing a photo of himself in the tattoo parlour, Dr Alex George has revealed that he has got a tattoo tribute for his brother Llŷr, who sadly passed away from suicide in July 2020.
He captioned the photo, “This one’s for you my boy 💙 After losing Llŷr, I have wanted to pay a permanent tribute to him and what he means to me. I miss him every single day.”
Alongside the Instagram post, Dr Alex has shared a sweet video of the process and his nerves beforehand.
“This video was so important and personal to me and has been something that I have thought about for a long time. I couldn’t be happier with the results of the tattoo and I hope you all enjoy what I got.
“Big shoutout to Rick and the South City Market team for making me feel so comfortable and for being unbelievably professional,” he added.
Since Llŷr means God the Sea in Welsh and that was the last place that he was, Dr Alex decided to get a small wave on his right wrist saying, “I wanted to commemorate my brother and have something that would be really personal.”

Whilst Dr Alex’s new tattoo was full of meaning, the same can’t quite be said of his fellow Love Islander Liam Reardon who is covered in tattoos, including a series of celebrity portraits of his right thigh.
Liam has two portraits tattooed on his right thigh – one of Frank Sinatra and another of Muhammed Ali. According to his tattoo artist Lucy Turner of Lucy Lou’s Tattoos, Liam had their faces inked on his leg as he’s massive fans of both iconic stars.
Unlike Alex’s small wave, the tribute to the boxer was Liam’s first ever tattoo and took a whopping 12 hours to complete. “It was his first tattoo and he sat amazing both times. I convinced him to go quite big with the tattoo just because he's so tall. Anything smaller just wouldn't have looked right,” Lucy explained.
To be fair, Liam has picked some iconic people to tribute.
