As the face of Wizz Air, Gemma Collins has been living a pretty jammy life of non-stop holidays over the past month – telling fans she’s on a “vitamin D tour”. And last week, Gemma was pictured sunning herself in Greece and rocking a killer “revenge body” (although we’re a little concerned that her eye- catching bikini’s going to leave some very interesting tan lines).
But despite the idyllic vibes, we’re told Gem’s still dealing with a heap of heartache following her bitter split from James “Arg” Argent. And recent rumours that she was dating Essex restaurant owner Nadir Gul – which she’s since rubbished as “untrue” – have only added to her angst.
“Gemma was heartbroken after her split from Arg,” says an insider close to the 39 year old, who ended her on/off relationship with her former TOWIE co-star for good in July, after he cruelly called her a “hippo” and a “fat f**k” via text. “She really thought he was the man she would marry and have children with, so she’s taking her time to get over him. She was upset about the rumours linking her to another man.”

Last week, Gemma told her followers she was “shocked and saddened” that “someone who is very close to me” told the press she was dating Nadir, adding, “Nadir and myself have been friends for years. It’s really sad when you’re good to everyone and they sell out on you.”

According to our insider, the story hit Gemma hard – not only because someone she knew had spoken to the press, but also because she’s still not over Arg. Before their big fallout, it really seemed like the pair were in the best place they’d ever been. Arg had finally kicked his booze and drugs addictions, and was publicly declaring his love for Gemma. But things went south very quickly and, while Gem is focusing on looking and feeling good, we’re told she’s still feeling fragile.
“Gem was very loyal to Arg – she’s devastated about the way he treated her,” we’re told. “She knows she does have to get back on the dating scene, but for now, she just wants to let her hair down and relax. It’s her 40th in February, and she wants to be looking and feeling her best for it.”
Here’s hoping the vitamin D tour does the trick.
