She may be one of the country’s most popular TV presenters, but she likes to keep her personal life, well, personal. So, no wonder fans were thrilled to gain an insight into Holly Willoughby’s wedding to Dan Baldwin ahead
of their 15th anniversary.
“I literally spent the whole day in tears,” said the 41 year old on her Wylde Moon website. “I’ll never forget the overwhelming feeling of love that hit me as I walked into the church and everyone turned around and smiled.”
On 4 August 2007, Holly and television producer Dan tied the knot at Amberley Castle, Sussex, with the bride looking stunning in a bespoke gown inspired by her mother’s own wedding dress. “It’s important to get your underwear right,” Holly joked, revealing that her dressmaker had adapted an original 1960s bunny corset by cutting the back low (the bunny tail never saw the light of day).
The This Morning star – who shares children Harry, 13, Belle, 11, and Chester, seven with Dan –sweetly shed light on the back story behind their first dance song, English Rose, revealing it featured on a mix tape Dan had made for her while she was holidaying with Fearne Cotton.
As for the finer details, like the table plans and colour schemes? “None of it matters! It’s human interaction that matters more than anything,” Holly wrote, telling her fans that the key to happiness is to put as much energy into your marriage as any other relationship.
“Continue to make the effort. I’m talking about carving out time in your lives for each other,” she advised. With 15 years of being a smug married, we guess she knows what she’s talking about.
