Jamie Laing has said that he will propose to girlfriend Sophie Habboo live on Strictly Come Dancing if he is crowned winner of the series.

Jamie, who has been dating Sophie for over a year, confessed, "You know what? Maybe I should do that.

"When I lift the trophy I might propose to her at the same time.

"Between us, I will propose to her when I win Strictly."

Well, that would be a Strictly first. He'd certainly be giving Love Island's Jess Shears and Dom Lever a run for their money.

Though, the Made in Chelsea star went on to tell OK! magazine that he wasn't sure whether his co-star girlfriend would be too keen on a SCD proposal 😂.

"She would be furious," he said, "It would be her worst nightmare."

Not to worry, Habs, 31-year-old Jamie, who's dancing with ballroom professional Karen Hauer, didn't exactly kick off his Strictly stint on winning form.

Dancing the Cha-cha-cha, Jamie and Karen came second to last on the Strictly leaderboard with a score of 14 out of a possible 30 points.

Though, if you ask us, we think Jamie put on quite the show.

The distant sound of wedding bells in the Laing-Habboo household comes just after news broke that Jamie would be stepping back from Made in Chelsea.

Jamie is MIC's longest running cast member and has been filming for the show since series two back in 2011.

He told The Sunday Times Style that he had indeed left MIC while he's filming for Strictly Come Dancing, but didn't rule out the possibility to returning.

"I was on TV for 10 years; I'd never say: 'Hey, that's me done', but yes I am definitely taking a step back," he admitted.
