Following Wednesday night's prestigious BRIT Awards, rumours started to swirl around the showbiz world that former X Factor winner James Arthur and Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson had reportedly been spotted getting a lil cosy.
After a number of news outlets reported the story and revealed the pair 'couldn't keep their hands off each other', 'Empty Space' singer James has now hit back in a furious message on Twitter.
James wrote, 'Firstly we were not kissing we were talking closely because it was loud as f--- in a club, have you ever tried having a conversation when theres loud music, you gotta be tactile. sad state of a affairs when a guy and a girl can’t sit and chat without being romantically involved. [sic]
The Middlesbrough born lad then added, 'What kind of a person sneaks pics of people sitting and chatting at a party. Scruffy that.' [sic]
Fans of the singer were quick to reply to James' message, advising him to focus on his music.
One fan added, 'Focus on the music babes. We are all dying for the next single and Album 3! ❤️😘😍🔥', with another writing, 'A person that wants to make fake rumours about people saying that they were kissing 🙄nowadays you can’t talk to the opposite gender 😪'. [sic]
Following her split from her ex-boyfriend Harry James back in 2018, Jesy walked the BRITs red carpet with her childhood friend, whilst her fellow Little Mix girls posed with their boyfriends.
Sharing a number of snaps of the pair together on the red carpet, Jesy wrote, 'So last night this girl right here was my date for the evening 😍we’ve known each other for 15 years now and been best friends ever since! It felt so surreal to have her with me last night, it’s always been a dream of mine and last night it came true 🥰 you will never ever know how much I adore you and love you! You are the bestest friend anyone could wish for and I can’t imagine my life without you! We’ve come a long way since making up dance routines for time&envy in your bedroom to saving up our fivers so we could buy a Mali and coke to last us through out the night 🙈 your my queen and my soul mate and the best brits date I’ve ever had ❤️ p.s the glow up is real 👌🏻' [sic]
Cute! 😘
