Some people bring home fridge magnets from their adventures abroad, but Katie Price has loftier aims: she wants a new face, a new body – and a new baby.
According to sources, the former glamour model is still reeling from her recent spate of bad press – culminating in her ex-toyboy Charles Drury’s recent savage kiss-and-tell, in which he claimed they’d engaged in cocaine-fuelled romps together, and branded her a “one out of ten” in bed.
Now, we’re told, Katie’s facing a lonely Christmas, as her ex-husbands Peter Andre (father to her kids Junior, 14, and Princess, 12) and Kieran Hayler (father to Jett, six, and Bunny, five) are keen that their kids steer clear of the chaos.
In addition to Charles’ claims, Katie also hit the headlines last month with the revelations that she’d been banned from driving again and could be declared bankrupt and lose her “mucky mansion” by Christmas.
But rather than doing damage control, insiders say that Katie’s burying her head in the sand and trying to cheer herself up the only way she knows how: by planning more surgery. Oh, and by reviving her plans to adopt a baby.
“Christmas is a really sore spot for her as she may not see the kids,” says an insider close to the 41 year old, who’s also mum to Harvey, 17. “She just wants to distract herself and change the subject, so she’s booked a range of procedures to have in Turkey over the festive period."

“It’s given her and Kris [Boyson, Katie’s on/off boyfriend] something to look forward to, and they’re currently looking at two-for-one offers. She’s been repeatedly warned by doctors not to have anything else done for a bit, but she’s not listening.
"She’s been reading about a new type of face lift where they pull and fold back the forehead, and she’s also booked herself in for some body Botox to get rid of her cellulite.”
Meanwhile, if nips and tucks weren’t enough to keep Katie occupied, we’re told she’s also refocusing her mind on adopting a baby – this time from Romania, after abandoning plans to adopt a Nigerian orphan earlier this year.
The only trouble is, Kris isn’t so keen. “They’ve been arguing again, after he caught her Googling ‘Adoption from Romania’,” says the insider.

“She loves being a mother and, despite the uncertainty of what’s going on in her life with the house and kids, she feels she can give an orphan a good home. She’d originally thought about adopting from Nigeria, but it proved to be too difficult, so she decided Romania would be a better option. It’s not so far from the UK and she thinks the process will be much easier.”
According to our source, Katie’s ignored her family and friends’ advice to “clean up her act”. We’re told, “At the moment, she feels as though she’s fighting a losing battle. She says that, no matter what she tries to do, she’ll always be punished, so she’s putting herself first this Christmas and just doing what works for her.
“Kris is fuming that she’s gone behind his back to adopt a baby, but she really doesn’t care. Katie’s the boss and, ultimately, it’s her decision.”
