For a short while it seemed as though the epic Cold War between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift (mainly consisting of shady songs about each other) seemed to have thawed.
ICYMI, Katy sent Taylor an actual olive branch and a heartfelt message reading: “Hey, Old Friend.
“I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and hurt feelings-between us. I really want to clear the air.”
Taylor showcased this gesture to all her fans as she prepped for the first night of her Reputation world tour.
The rest of the note is not visible, but Taylor wrote over the vid ‘Thank you Katy,’ along with a love heart emoji.
And all seemed well between the pop queens.
But this is Celebland, and friendships are more fickle than Henry VIII with his wives’, so the peace-time may be over already.
Katy is reportedly furious that Taylor posted the letter on her social media, as it makes it look as though she was responsible for the whole fallout.
“Katy expected that Taylor would post something about it, but she didn’t expect the actual letter to go on social,” a source told The Sun.
“The thing is, you can only see part of what Katy wrote and it looks like she’s taking sole responsibility for the entire feud.
“Without context, it looks like she’s taking the blame for everything and obviously there’s a lot more to it than that.”
