They embarked on a surprise romance in 2021, after kissing in an Aladdin-inspired sketch on Saturday Night Live.
And last month, over two years after calling it quits, Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson reunited at the show’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
The pair were seen chatting at an after-party, and we’re told there was still chemistry between them – so much so, Kim is now hoping for some no-strings fun with her ex.
‘Kim accepts that Pete doesn’t want the pressure or scrutiny that comes with dating a Kardashian. But there’s still crazy chemistry between them – sparks were flying at the party,’ a source tells heat.
‘Now she’s considering meeting up for booty calls. Sex was never their problem – she still talks about how incredible it was.’
The source continues, ‘When she and Pete first split up, Kim was very sad – she was crazy about him. But now she can see he’s much better as a fun-time guy. She’s not trying to angle for something more, she’s let go of the idea that Pete is “The One”.’
Mum-of-four Kim, 44, and comedian Pete, 31, dated for nine months before their split in August 2022. Their relationship incited the wrath of Kim’s ex-husband Kanye West – the father of her children North, 11, Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, five – who targeted Pete and reportedly even caused him to seek therapy.
The 13-year age gap is also said to have played a part in their split, as did the distance while he worked on a film project in Australia.
Kim previously revealed she originally pursued Pete because of his ‘big dick energy’. She said, ‘I wasn’t even thinking, like, “Oh my god, I’m gonna be in a relationship with him.” I was just thinking, “Heard about this BDE, need to get out there. I was just basically down to f**k”.’
Since their break-up, Kim’s briefly dated NFL star Odell Beckham Jr, and in December, she was linked to a mystery real estate investor. But despite going their separate ways, our source adds Kim still sees Pete as a ‘safe space’.
We’re told, ‘Kim could let her guard down with Pete and trust him not to spill her secrets. There hasn’t been any bad blood. Kim would love a boyfriend and to marry again, but at this point, she’s ready to settle for some fun. The problem is the stakes are very high.
‘She can’t just hook up with any guy and there’s a risk her trust might be broken. That’s why some sort of situationship with Pete seems like a great solution.’
