She’s excitedly shared every moment of her pregnancy with fans, showing off her baby scan pictures, posing for maternity photo shoots alongside boyfriend Charles Drury, and even staging a pink-themed gender reveal to announce she’s expecting a girl.
But while Lauren Goodger has previously seemed happy to play out her journey to motherhood in the public eye, heat has been told she’s recently had a change of heart, as she’s worried about exposing her daughter to all the intense scrutiny that comes with being famous.
“Lauren’s really worried that her daughter could grow up with the same insecurities she’s had,” says an insider close to the 34 year old, who’s been open about the pressures she’s faced since she first found fame on TOWIE 11 years ago. “Or it could even be worse if she feels her girl is being pitted against other reality stars’ children.”
“Of course, Lauren wants to show her daughter off when she arrives, but she’s getting really worried about how she’ll shield her from the negative side of being in the spotlight. It all feels like one big competition between the TOWIE mums [including Samantha and Billie Faiers, and Ferne McCann], and Lauren’s not sure she wants to be part of it all any more.”
