It was only yesterday that One Direction fans were worried that the popular band, made up of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and former member Zayn Malik, would never reunite, following their hiatus which started in January 2016. However, it looks like there IS hope!

Louis, who is one of the new judges on The X Factor, along with Robbie Williams, Ayda Williams and returning judge Simon Cowell, has been talking about the possibility of reuniting with the other One Direction boys, and it's got us super excited!

Speaking on Lorraine this morning (7th September), all four judges discussed the new series of the show and if Louis will be reuniting with the other 1D boys.

"We're all just enjoying our time," Louis replied, "But for me, there's no way, with a band like One Direction that it's not going to happen again."

Robbie was also asked the question, if he would reunite with Take That, to which he replied, "Am I getting back with Take That? I'm sure at some point, but there's nothing in the diary."

Watch the interview with The X Factor judges below:

Louis was announced as a new judge on this year's X Factor last month, speaking about his new role he said, "The X Factor for me made a lot of sense. Development of artists is something I’ve been interested in for a long time. Having been on the show myself I know first-hand that the live shows are like nothing else you would experience. I’m looking forward to guiding auditonees through the process."

One Direction formed on The X Factor back in 2010, after the five boys auditioned as solo artists, despite not winning the competition, they became world-famous and enjoyed a number of very successful singles and albums.
