Louise Redknapp has spoken out to address speculation she’s dating her business partner Tom Van Wesseldine.
According to reports, Louise first met the 30-year-old entrepreneur years ago through mutual friends and have since gone into business together after setting up a music company together.
The pair were romantically linked over the weekend when Louise shared a series of heart emojis in the comments section of one of Tom’s Instagram snaps, but the singer has taken to social media to slam any suggestions they’re more than friends.
She wrote, “I hate having to do this especially late on a Saturday night but sometimes I need to protect the people around me.
“Tommy and his girlfriend Emily are both very dear friends of mine and have been great friends over the last couple of years along with their dog Diddy.”

Louise has been single since splitting from her ex-husband Jamie in 2017 and recently admitted that she was left worried that she’d “done or said something wrong” after being ghosted on a dating app by a potential new romance.
“I had what I thought was a good chat with a guy, and then one day he asked me what I was up to. I said, ‘Oh, I’m just going for a bike ride’. And that was the end of that. It’s been five months and no reply,” she wrote in an extract from her new book You’ve Got This, which was obtained by The Sun.
“I’m just sitting here wondering what was it that I said? Are bike rides that unattractive? Basically, this is a way to say the new world of dating is so opaque and difficult to navigate.
“It’s easy to feel you’ve done or said something wrong, when in reality it’s not on you.”
