Theo Campbell has decided to sue a club in Ibiza after he lost the sight in his right eye when a flying Champagne cork hit him.
According to the Love Island star, a champagne cork "split [his eye] in half," and now, over a year later he has taken legal action against the Ice Mountain Ibiza premises.
At the time, the 29 year old took to social media to inform fans of his injury. Alongside a snap of him wearing an eye patch, he wrote, "So yeah basically two eye surgeries later, after a really unfortunate accident, I’ve lost all vision in my right eye as it got split in half.
"Who would have thought a champagne cork would be the end of me.”

Theo also gave fans a look at the incident, sharing a photo of him cringing in pain with his hands over his eye and the words, "If only I had that guy's goggles 🤨🤨 prepared."
According to the law firm representing him, Irwin Mitchell, Theo has launched legal action against both the club and its insurers. He said that making the decision to do so wasn't "done lightly," but added that it was important for him to "get [answers]".
In a statement, he explained, "The last 15 months or so trying to come to terms with what has happened have been hard.
"I'm a positive person and try and remain upbeat but as time goes on the chances of my sight getting back to normal become reduced."
He continued, "I'm speaking with doctors about what may or may not be possible but I also have a number of questions about what happened to me.
"I don't know what the future may hold with regards to my sight but I feel that the least I deserve is answers to what happened and why."

Theo told The Sun earlier this year that the cork injury has left his eye seeing only blurry colours and shapes.
He explained, "I might get something called a corneal eye transplant, but it could reject it. It’s blurry now."
Theo's lawyer, Demetrius Danas, stated that the reality star's quality of life has decreased since the incident.
He said, "Through our investigations we believe there was insufficient safety advice provided to customers at the club as well as a failure to recommend or provide protective eyewear."
