Love Island 2020 bombshell Demi Jones has spoken out after fans accused her of throwing some major shade in the direction of ex-boyfriend Luke Mabbott and his new beau Lucie Donlan.
As Justin Bieber doppelgänger Luke and Lucie post a whole load of cosy snaps from their romantic getaway on Instagram (way to rub salt in the wound, eh?), Demi couldn't resist taking to Twitter to post a seemingly-sassy indirect; but not all's as it appeared.
Oh, we live for the drama. ITV - we're gonna need that reunion episode rescheduled STAT.
After Demi seemingly offered fellow Love Island alumni Lucie some advice, tweeting: "Girlllllllll, know your worth" complete with yawny-face emoji.
However, when fans pointed out the convenient timing of the post given Luke and Lucie's new relationship status, Demi was quick to deny any shade.
In response to one user asking 'this is about Bieber and the mermaid with the dry hair, isn’t it?' (their words, not ours), Demi explained: "No it really isn’t 😂😂 actually just felt like tweeting it because us gals need to be reminded sometimes lol, twitter reads into things too deep 😅😩 x."
We believe you, Demi. Thousands wouldn't.
