While most of us would be in hiding under the duvet if our ex was on TV’s biggest show every weekend, lucky for us – Maura’s not about that life.
Taking to Instagram the former Love Island star shared a photo of herself with her arm proudly in the air flashing the peace sign, with the words “Here’s to new beginnings✌”.
The photo was taken in the reception of Elite models' London office, after the star signed with the agency. As one of the world's biggest modelling agency they represent everyone from Gisele Bundchen to Naomi Campbell and now - Love Island’s Maura.
Known for supplying models to the likes Chanel and Dior it might not be long before we see their newest signing on the catwalk.
A source told MailOnline Maura dumped her management team so she could leave reality TV behind and pursue a serious career in modelling.
According to the insider, Maura was “desperate” to distance herself from Love Island – the show that made her famous.

They continued, “Maura has left the management company she signed with after coming out of the Love Island villa.
“They have supported her from the beginning but now she's ready to start a new chapter in her career and wants to focus on modelling.
“She's desperate to move away from reality TV – she wants a new challenge and has always thrived off her fashion and beauty campaigns.
“It's important for Maura to claim back some of her personal life, her recent breakup from Giovanni hit her hard and she knows for her next relationship to work she will need to keep it private.”

This big change comes after Maura’s shock split from Giovanni in October. The couple had been dating since July but fans noticed something was wrong when they both deleted all traces of their relationship from their respective Instagrams.
According to reports, Maura was left “heartbroken” when Giovanni reportedly “dumped” her in a shock decision she didn’t see coming. At the time, a source close to the two revealed, “Maura didn’t see this coming and is finding it very difficult to come to terms with. She genuinely thought Gio was the one.”

They continued, “Gio is working 24/7 on Strictly and Maura is flying here, there and everywhere with modelling. Gio is also set to go on tour again next year when Strictly ends so their lifestyles just don’t fit with settling down at the moment. That’s why Gio decided to end things. They have crazy suitcase lives which makes it hard to be in a relationship.”
The Sun reported that in a bid to get over the break-up, Maura had signed up to celeb dating app Raya.
An insider explained, “Maura is a stunning girl and has already been bombarded with offers and swipes.
“She won’t be single for long.”
