The new year is a time for new beginnings, exciting plans and (let’s be honest) failed resolutions. Well, for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, they’ve got at least two of those concepts in mind.
We’re told the royal couple are hoping to welcome a second baby next year and might be making an exciting announcement soon.
“Meghan and Harry want another baby sooner rather than later,” a royal insider tells us. “They get so much joy from Archie and adore being parents – they can’t wait for him to have a brother or a sister. Ideally, they would love a little girl next, but they’re really not fussed either way.”
The couple welcomed baby Archie in May and rumours have recently been circulating that the Duchess could be expecting baby number two, thanks to a number of her sartorial choices.

The couple – who married on 19 May 2018 – have not had the best time over the last few months when it comes to managing their public image.
They were on the receiving end of a backlash for their confusing stance on eco-friendly travel and they also had a mixed response to their emotional admissions in their recent documentary.
And we’re told the pair would love to have a happy announcement to share over the festive period.

With rumours persisting around the Duchess’ potential pregnancy, betting odds of Meghan announcing a second baby by the end of 2019 dramatically dropped last week from 4/6 to 1/5.
And our source tells us it’s all about timing for the royal couple. “Meghan loved having Archie in May and she would love another late spring or early summer baby.
"She’s also just turned 38 and both she and Harry have said they only want two children, so Meghan wants to have her babies before she turns 40.”
And after betting on Kate having her fourth child in 2020 was suspended last week, it seems we might be set for another healthy dose of royal baby fever next year.
