Being a celebrity comes with the responsibility (or the pleasure) of dressing to impress at every single high-profile event in your jam-packed diary, and you never know who's going to turn up on the red carpet.

We all know that the variety of Met Gala outfits from over the years has involved A LOT of raised eyebrows, and as it's very nearly the end of the decade, there is no time like the present to look over the most WTF outfits of the decade.

Whether it be the VMAs, the Met Gala, or even the Oscars, here are the most extra, totally mad, and absolutely INCREDIBLE outfits we've seen during the 2010s.

The most WTF outfits of the decade

Bella Hadid 2017

Bella opted for a see- through Alexander Wang cat suit for the 2017 Met Gala, which really resembles one big pair of fishnets. Somehow she still looks good. The Met is the scene of loads of the most WTF outfits of the decade. Let's just say, some celebs are really not afraid of a theme.

Billy does not shy away from a good floor length gown. At this year's New York Pride event, he went all-out rainbow with a look created by the same designer as his fabulous Oscars dress.

Blac Chyna 2017

Blac Chyna has dated Tyga and Rob Kardashian, but now its her fashion choices getting people talking. The model wore a very glitzy two piece to Atlantic City in New Jersey which would have maybe been fine, but the face- covering lace mask is a definite WTF.

Zendaya 20184 of 25

Zendaya 2018

A dress made out of armour and chainmail? There are very few people in the world that could pull this combo off... and we're not convinced she's one of them. Zendaya is always one of the best dressed, but the jury's out on this Versace Joan of Arc inspired look.

The Grammys is another one where celebs bring their odd- outfit a game. In 2017, singer Cee Lo went head- to-toe gold with his hands and face not missing out on the metallic look. It was suggested that he resembled a Ferrero Rocher.

Ok, so they'd just got married so we'll let them off but what on earth is happening here. Actress Sophie wore a sequin jumpsuit with one too many zips and her husband Joe donned a matching turtleneck. Like, primary colours, but make it fashion.

Justin Bieber 2016

At one point, Justin was really trying to make shorts over jeans a thing. We have so many questions. Luckily it's safe to say it hasn't caught on and this troubling era is over. Hopefully Hayley can keep him firmly on the fashion straight and narrow.

Katie Price 20108 of 25

Katie Price 2010

Oh Katie. In a great pop culture moment, Katie launched her own range of iPod Nanos back in 2010. She turned up at the launch in an outfit to end all outfits. Is it the very revealing silver cat suit that's so transfixing, or is it the crown made of Apple products? Not so sure.

Katy Perry 20199 of 25

Katy Perry 2019

This has truly been a bizarre year for fashion. Katy Perry may have won the weirdest get-up award with this one though. Her sparkly burger costume was complete with lettuce, tomato and cheese, obviously. We're pretty sure her head is meant to resemble an olive as well. Fashun.

Kim Kardashian 201910 of 25

Kim was back in the news over this look, with husband Kanye saying it was too revealing for him. She was meant to appear dripping wet, and apparently couldn't sit down all night and trained for months just to breathe in the dress. That's commitment right there.

Lady Gaga 201011 of 25

Lady Gaga 2010

Oh, the meat dress. Probably the iconic style moment of the decade. Gaga wore the statement look to the VMAs and although at the time it was made of actual raw meat, afterwards it was professionally preserved and hung in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Fun fact.

Lana Del Rey 201812 of 25

Lana Del Rey 2018

Lana somehow pulled off this floor length white dress, complete with 7 daggers. Our favourite part is the huge halo- crown with blue wings. She also carried around a pair of opera glasses, which we're not 100% sure if she ended up needing.

Joan Collins 201913 of 25

Joan Collins 2019

If we're talking about the most outrageous looks of the last ten years, the legendary Joan Collins dressed as an all- white feather princess with more diamonds than you can shake a stick out is a no brainer. Tiara, check. Satin gloves, check. This homage to Dynasty is just too good.

Madonna 201314 of 25

Madonna 2013

Madonna was obviously going to make the list. In 2013 she wore one hell of a jacket, and not much else, to the Met Ball. The bold choice of donning gloves but no trousers definitely makes this a WTF moment. The pink heels really top it off, too.

Miley Cyrus 201515 of 25

Miley Cyrus 2015

This could have actually been a whole list of outrageous Miley outfits from 2015 alone, but we kept it to this see- through number. From carefully- placed pastel spots to white knee- high boots, there's actually too much to talk about with this one.

Harry Styles 201916 of 25

Harry Styles 2019

Harry wore a black Gucci blouse and people went insane. Understandably. The unexpected choice was paired with a single pearl earring and the world was forever changed. In all seriousness, good on the former 1D star for pushing the boundaries of red-carpet dressing for men.

Nicki Minaj 201117 of 25

Nicki Minaj 2011

Nicki is another one who has had so many questionable outfits it was hard to choose a stand- out. It's the wellies that clinch it in this iHeartRadio festival look. Oh, and the necklace is apparently a pink chicken wing. The whole deal is so bizarre that her dress kind of fades into the background, which is impressive.

Cardi B 201918 of 25

Cardi B 2019

Cardi looked quite incredible in her vintage Mugler look at the Grammys. She appeared to be coming out of an oyster and just in case this message was a bit too subtle, she covered her neck and hair in actual pearls.

Rihanna 201719 of 25

Rihanna 2017

Ri has had so many amazing fashion moments over the years and basically continues to take over the world. Can't say we're the no. 1 fan of this number though. Kind of like taking a pair of floral curtains and cutting it into loads of circles.

Rita Ora 201720 of 25

Rita Ora 2017

Of all the crazy looks here, this is the one we're most jealous of for sure. How comfy would it be to go to a red-carpet event in a dressing gown? Maybe Rita was late and didn't have time to change but either way we're so on board for the Turbie towel and diamonds combo.

Tallia Storm 201521 of 25

Tallia Storm 2015

Tallia wore this interesting lattice number to the 2015 EMAs and we're not entirely sure what she was going for. The hair is a lot to take in. As is the orange fur which is carefully paired with a matching bag.

Timothee Chalamet 201922 of 25

Timothee Chalamet 2019

Timothee has had some of the best outfits since he rose to fame, and usually they're a tad less eye-catching than this. There's a lot of denim here and it's beginning to look like Timothee is making a move into the painter and decorator business. Let's leave the shoes shall we.

Tulisa Contostavlos 201223 of 25

Tulisa Contostavlos 2012

This strapless outfit is giving some serious prom vibes. Back in 2012 Tulisa wore a whole flamingo to the NTAs after her split with bandmate Fazer. She's managing to pull off a surprising amount of hot pink for which she should be proud.

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid 2018

Back when Zayn and Gigi were a thing, they once went all out for a night in New York and dressed like characters from The Matrix. It's quite cute that they wanted to match for Zayn's Birthday, but sunglasses are not an evening necessity.

Cara Delevingne 201925 of 25

Cara Delevingne 2019

Finally, back to the Met Gala where this year Cara wore a Dior playsuit and then decided to accessorise it with a rainbow cane, extravagant headdress and orange stripe across her face. There was even a dangling fried egg - if that's not bizarre we don't know what is.

We all remember the day that Lady Gaga turned up in her meat dress, which was made up of actual raw meat from the butchers, and that was probably the most iconic look of the decade for us.

But, of course, Katie Price's greatest pop culture moment in 2010 was stepping out onto the red carpet in her iPod outfit, where she showcased her own range of iPod Nanos. Just unbelievable.
