Pussycat Dolls’ ‘disgusting’ X Factor show sparks 400 complaints to Ofcom

The Pussycat Dolls’ performance on The X Factor: Celebrity final received over 400 complaints on Ofcom, and parents branding it a "strip show".

Oops.

Judge Nicole Scherzinger was joined by her former bandmates Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta and Kimberly Wyatt on stage, where they reunited for the first time since 2010 to perform a number of tracks.

B viewers of the show were left shocked by their outfits and dance routines – especially since they aired before the 9pm watershed.

Britney now has a Las Vegas residency for her 'Piece Of Me' show Planet Hollywood.

American girl band Fifth Harmony started their success when they finished third on The X Factor USA back in 2012. During and after their performance, Twitter was alight with people complaining about the raunchy show, with one writing, “Disgusting, disrespectful and shameful and all before the watershed.

"X-Factor is a family show and I enjoy it with my 7-year-old daughter who was shocked and disgusted as was I. Call yourself a role model, put some clothes on and grow up.”

Another viewer tweeted, “Whoever designed the Pussycat Dolls’ X Factor costumes needs to go back to stylist/design school 🤦‍♀‍”.

Despite being slammed by viewers, fans of the American girl group supported their comeback performance, and plenty took to Twitter to defend them.

“I am so happy the Pussycat Dolls are back together, their performance on X Factor was lit 🔥”, said one.

“I can’t stop watching @pussycatdolls performance on X-Factor. I love @NicoleScherzy so much 😍”, another added.

The Pussycat Dolls announced their reunion on Instagram and it has since been revealed that the Dancing On Ice star Melody Thornton, won't be returning with the group.

She has reportedly snubbed the comeback, following reports she wanted the reunion to be a "level playing field."
