Poor old Rylan Clark-Neal had a bit of a time of it last year, after he was trolled relentlessly for the very simple matter of taking some time off work.
He announced he was leaving his showbiz role on This Morning, which he'd held since 2012, toward the end of 2017, and there a huge amount of speculation about the reason why he was stepping down.
He told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield last year: "I've not really said anything but after Christmas, next Friday, I'm going to be going away for a little bit.
"It's definitely not goodbye but I'm going to be taking a little bit of a break for a little bit in the new year.
"But I just want to say thank you because it's been lovely and I will be back. I will be back."
Rylan's now shed some light on his decision, and the explanation really is very simple.
He said: “Some news outlets have said I’m having a baby, getting divorced and terminally ill.
“I’m really missing being there but I just need time to myself. People think there’s an ulterior motive and there’s not. I just needed a break for my head, for my body, for my peace of mind," he continued to The Sun.
He went on: “I don’t get holiday, I’m self-employed. That’s a really big risk for anyone in telly.
