There’s nothing like a bit of healthy competition between family, right? Just ask Sam and Billie Faiers. Since finding fame on TOWIE, the reality TV sisters have mirrored each other in a variety of ways. They’re both leading mumfluencers, with brands lining up for them to rep their products, they both have a son and a daughter, and they both enjoy the finer things in life – be that luxury holidays, VIP travel, or their mega-plush homes. And according to insiders, it’s the latter that’s now fanning the flames of friendly competition.
As heat recently told you, Billie and her husband Greg Shepherd are finally making progress on their massive home renovation, which has been a long time coming. The couple bought the £1.4m Essex property over a year ago, with the intention of completely demolishing it and building a five-bed mansion in its place, but works were held up after their new neighbours contested plans.
Since settling matters earlier this year, they’ve got down to serious work, bulldozing the old house and charting their progress on their home Insta account @homewiththesheps, as well as on The Mummy Diaries, and it looks like the finished product will have some serious wow factor.
And while Sam, who’s currently living in a rented Surrey mansion with partner Paul Knightley and their kids, is delighted for her sister, we’re told that it’s got her rethinking her own home digs.

“Seeing Billie build her home from scratch in Essex has got Sam thinking, and she’s now all about finding her ultimate dream home, too,” says an insider close to the 30 year old, who’s renting her five-bedroom mansion for £7k per month.
“She’s fed up of spending a fortune in rent every month, and keeps thinking about all the amazing furnishings she could be buying instead and putting the money into her own home. She has high expectations after spending so much time at their current pile [worth £2.25m], and she’s after something super-stylish and unique. She’s saying she wants something grand like Beckingham Palace [the famous Hertfordshire mega-mansion once owned by David and Victoria Beckham]. And if it outshines Billie and Greg’s new place, she’s sure her sister will just be happy for her.”

Last week, Sam and Paul went out on a double-date with Savills estate agent Trevor Kearney and his wife Raedon. Trevor, who goes by the Insta handle @superprimesurrey, specialises in selling super-prime property – that is, the top five per cent most expensive homes in an area – and a brief scan of his profile shows that he’s got some serious places up for grabs – including one jaw- dropping mansion worth £14.5m.
So, this means Sam definitely knows the right people for when it comes to the Faiers’ house wars – fingers crossed she gets double-date discounts.
