It’s no secret that we’re living through, er, interesting times, so a bit of laughter is always appreciated here at heat towers.

And boy, did we laugh when we saw Made in Chelsea star and social media funny man Sam Thompson’s parody of a classic Love Island audition tape.

With the 2021 series right around the corner, we’re all gearing up to get to know the archetypal line up of lash technicians, personal trainers and influencers entering the villa as we prepare to spend the next six to eight weeks in front the tellybox, and Sam has certainly capitalised on the hype.

Stephanie Pratt and Joey Essex in series 1

When the show was just a little bitty baby in 2016, Stephanie and Joey were its first ever forbidden celeb couple. She was evil to me when I was dating Joey, on and off camera."She was flirting with Joey."

Taking to his Instagram – which has become something of a destination for top-class hashtag bantz if you ask us – Sam donned his infamous blonde wig and his girlfriend’s bikinis to portray Amy and Jessica, two made up (but inevitably spot on) girls entering the fictional villa.

And he didn’t leave the boys out, with a pair of shades and a questionable Manchunian accents as the lovable player of the series before switching to a character called Tarquin from Fulham who reminds us a lot of, erm, Sam Thompson.

Top points, Sam.

Fans were loving the clip – produced to a notably high standard, it must be said – with actual Love Island winner Dani Dyer writing, “Give us more 😂😂😂😂 hilarious !!” and Sam’s best mate and MiC co star Reza Amiri-Garroussi writing, “It’s the cricket throw for me 😂.”

Sam’s fellow Celebs Go Dating alumni Tallia Storm said, “I definitely mounted it 😭😭 Sam this is gold,” and his girlfriend Zara McDermott’s favourite bit was, “’If I was to describe myself in 3 words, it would be fun, funny and just overall a good laugh’ 😂”.
