It was revealed last week that Scott Disick had checked himself into a rehab facility in Colorado. The 36-year-old is believed to have been struggling with his relationships – both with current girlfriend Sofia Richie, and ex Kourtney Kardashian – and his grief over his parents’ death six years ago, and it’s claimed he’d been drinking heavily and taking cocaine while in lockdown.
Given the current health crisis, Scott was placed in quarantine – introducing himself to fellow patients via Zoom – and was only allowed to join the group after being tested for coronavirus and given the all-clear. And while Scott has now left the facility – just a week after checking in – an insider close to the reality star tells heat his love life is one of the main causes of his problems.

“He’s been in a really confused head space about his relationships recently. Part of him will always feel drawn to Kourt, who is in so many ways his soul mate and his best friend,” our insider says. “He also knows she’d take him back in a heartbeat and it would make their kids, Kourt’s sisters and Kris [her mum] so much happier if he did give it one last shot. But he also loves Sofia very much, and feels like this romance is a big reason why he’s survived being in the spotlight.”
The dad of three is known to have sought treatment at rehab facilities at least four times before, and has often discussed his addiction issues on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and its various spin-offs. His attempt at recovery from alcohol and drug-related issues in 2015 was even documented on Kourtney and Khloé Take The Hamptons, although he cut his rehab stay short.

Our source tells us all the Kardashians – including Kourtney, who split from Scott nearly five years ago – are supporting him on the road to recovery. “The family are fully behind him, but they’re also very worried about his current state of mind,” the source says. “By his own admission, he needed help for emotional issues, and everyone knows how badly he’s dealt with his parents’ passing. Yes, he’s had his partying demons, but the big elephant in the room for years has been how he never really addressed his grief at the time. Scott’s only coming to terms with that now, and he wants new tools to help him handle bereavement.”
Scott’s parents tragically died within three months of each other in 2014, and we’re told that Kourtney and the rest of the Kardashians have encouraged him to seek professional help for his grief.
Now, having checked out of the treatment facility – denying allegations of alcohol abuse and drug taking – and returned to Los Angeles, we’re told Scott is hoping to tackle his issues. Our insider adds, “Right now, he’s sticking tight to his support team – including Kourt, her sisters and Kris – but he’s also telling Sofia he’s desperate for them to work through their problems and come out stronger.”
