Scott Disick has been on an emotional roller coaster for the past few months, and following his split from girlfriend Sofia Richie at the end of April, it seems that the couple have reunited after Scott pleaded with her to get back with him.
Scott and Sofia were pictured together celebrating the 4 July in Malibu, and our insider says, “He’s literally begging and promising to change in any way Sofia needs.
“Scott insists that he’s a changed man, and Sofia’s very close to giving him a second chance. She is very much the one in control here, and she’s taking her time while making Scott prove he can follow through with all of his promises and assurances.
“Before giving it another shot, she has to see some real genuine change and be sure in her gut that this is the right thing to do – not just for herself, but for Scott, too, who she insists she loves very much.”
Scott, 37, split from Sofia, 21, after a short stay in rehab for long-standing drink and drug issues, and we’re told that the pair had been “miserable” for a while. “They had so many issues, it made it virtually impossible to stay together,” says the source.

The pair started dating in 2017, just two years after Scott split with Kourtney Kardashian – mother to his three children. And one big factor in their split was thought to be Scott’s close relationship with Kourtney, who doesn’t seem to be too happy that Scott and Sofia have reunited. “She’s mortified and angry that he dumped her and the kids to go crawling back to Sofia on what was an important family day,” our insider says.
“It’s upsetting for Kourt, who is now facing the fact Scott’s still head over heels for Sofia and doesn’t want any part of rebuilding their family – which she was open to. It put a sour note on the family’s celebrations, too, with everyone asking where he was and Kourt having to inform them he was back with his ex, on the beach. But Scott is unapologetic, saying this is what he needs to do for his soul, and he’s sorry if that hurts anyone, but it’s a matter of the heart and that’s that.”
And it seems that Scott is making a real effort to change for Sofia, as our insider adds, “He admits that he took too much for granted and is working very hard to bring back that connection that he and Sofia had at the start of their relationship. Scott’s hopelessly in love, and keeps saying that his life is useless unless Sofia’s in it.”
