She's gaining massive popularity during her stint on this year's The X Factor, but devastation struck last week for Scarlett Lee when her brother's caravan home burned to the ground.

Luckily, all members of Scarlett's family survived the fire, but after she was left shaken with an eye injury, her mentor Simon Cowell has shown his kind-hearted spirit by sending the 21-year-old and her family some lavish hampers from Harrods.

Sharing a number of photos of the gifts to her Facebook page, Scarlett wrote, 'Where do I even begin? For every person who ask’s what’s Its like to work with simon what’s it like to know him ... well Simon not only my mentor but the kindest person I will ever meet, he has a heart of pure gold! tonight we had a surprise delivery for my brother his wife and children full of presents toys for them all, He Has made my family so happy and that means the world to me... You are genuinely the nicest person I’ve ever met and you never forget who was there for you when you’re down and you have stood by us through it all ... thank you so so much 💗💗💗.' [sic]

After the incident last week, Scarlett spoke about the scary moment during last Saturday's show, revealing her eye got burnt. She said, "These last days have been really really tough for me. I've had to have a few days off due to a family emergency. My brother's home caught fire and I was running in and out of it, that's how my eye got damaged. I ran into the building.

"My eye got burnt, I've just got out of hospital. It's just getting over it and thinking, my family is alive, I'm alive. This is the only thing I've got to look forward to. I know that it's been a tough few days for me but nothing is going to get in my way because this is my dream and I'm going to fight as hard as I can to make sure I'm here next week."

The 21-year-old went on to perform 'I Put A Spell On You', impressing both the judges and the viewers at home.
