On Sunday, Taylor Swift performed her final Eras concert after almost two years of non-stop touring, and sources say the artist is now ready to enter her mum era.
The 34-year-old singer has been with Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce, 35, for 18 months, and the pair are said to be very much on the same page about starting a family. An insider tells heat, ‘Both Taylor and Travis are both extremely broody and have spoken openly about possibly trying for a baby.'
The couple already have plenty of kids in their lives. Taylor is godmother to her pal Jaime King’s son Leo, as well as Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ daughters Inez and Betty, while Trav is an uncle to three nieces.
Now we’re told that, with her brother Austin, 32, also welcoming a baby with girlfriend Sydney Ness, 30, Taylor is thinking she’s ready to have her own little one. ‘[Taylor’s childhood BFF] Abigail Anderson had her first child in August and Travis’ brother Jason is expecting his fourth, so they want to start a family sooner rather than later,’ says our source.
‘They were surrounded by kids over the Thanksgiving holiday and seeing how Travis was with all his nieces really cemented, for her, what a great dad he’ll be.’
Taylor has previously stated that she’d love to be a mum one day, saying in an interview, ‘I want a bunch of kids running around, minimum four.’ And her loyal fans have been vocal in their support of the star having her happy ever after, even if it means they get less music for a while.
We’re told, ‘Taylor loves the thought of having a big family with Travis. She admires other musicians like Adele who have given themselves a break to focus on raising children – it’s something she wants to emulate.’
The source adds, ‘With the Eras tour coming to an end, now seems like the perfect time to take that break and focus on settling down and having a family of her own.’
