Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce looked more loved-up than ever last week, as the pop star joined her American footballer beau on the field after his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, defeated the Buffalo Bills, securing their spot in the Super Bowl for the second year running.
And Taylor, 35 – who was pictured giving Travis, 35, a celebratory kiss – sported an oversized Louis Vuitton jacket, which led some eagle-eyed fans to speculate whether it could be concealing a baby bump.
Now, with the couple’s romance stronger than ever, we’re told that a mini-Traylor could indeed be on the horizon. ‘Taylor’s been feeling very broody recently and all of her close friends are pretty sure that a baby is on the cards soon – everyone’s just waiting for the big announcement. Seeing Abigail [Anderson, her BFF] become a mum last year made her realise she didn’t want to wait any longer, so she and Travis decided to start trying as soon as her tour was over.’
With Taylor’s record-breaking Eras tour finishing in December, it’s the perfect time for the singer to focus on starting a family. She has been very open about her desire to become a mum, previously stating, ‘I want a bunch of [kids] running around, minimum four… I love the idea of pouring everything into another person when you become a parent.’
Taylor and Travis, who have been dating since July 2023, already have plenty of children in their lives. Taylor is godmother to Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ daughters Inez and Betty – both of whom get a shout-out in her song Betty – as well as her close friend Jaime King’s son Leo.
Last year, Taylor’s brother Austin also welcomed a son, Nova, with his girlfriend, while Travis’ brother Jason is about to become a father for the fourth time. Our insider says, ‘Travis’ brother and his wife are expecting their fourth child this summer, so he and Taylor are hoping they won’t be far behind. Travis has already told his mum that she could get two grandchildren this year.’
The source adds that with the pair very much on the same page about starting a family, Taylor is already getting her Beverly Hills mansion ready for a new arrival.
‘She’s been prepping her house since the beginning of the year. She’s enlisted the help of her favourite interior designer, Roxy Bijan, who did the original decor for the property, to come up with ideas for a nursery and turn the third floor into a “baby wing”,’ we’re told.
‘Given that Travis has to be based in Kansas for work, she’s insisted he do the same with his home to ensure they’re prepared wherever they are once the baby comes.’
The source adds that with all these preparations happening, the couple’s loved ones are convinced big news is on the way. ‘Everyone’s most definitely on baby watch,’ we’re told. ‘They wouldn’t be surprised if there was an announcement in the immediate future.’
