Who can forget when Tulisa Contostavlos and N-Dubz burst onto the scene in the early 00s, before going on to become an epic X Factor judge (she mentored Little Mix!) – and who can forget when Gary Barlow told her she had “fag ash breath”?
Not us at heat.
Tulisa Contostavlos X Factor
Tulisa joined the X factor as a judge back in 2011, replacing Cheryl for the eighth series of the show. She returned for the ninth series of the show, but was replaced by original judge Sharon Osbourne for the shows tenth series.
During her time on the show she mentored incredible acts such as Little Mix, Lucy Spraggan and Ella Henderson and had her fair share of ICONIC moments.
Tulisa Contostavlos' health scare
While not posting too often to social media, last year opened up about her recent diagnosis of Bell's palsy during a rare appearance on Loose Women.
She said, "I do suffer from Bell's palsy, one side of my face can drop down. I think the first attack I had was after a serious horse riding accident and I fractured my skull and it caused a lot of nerve damage and the Bell's palsy can cause facial paralysis, it can cause swelling. There's actually been times when people have criticised me for the way I look and my face and I'm actually going through a Bell's palsy attack."
Adding, "I remember it was an ITV appearance one time and I saw an online comment like: 'Her face looks like she's had a stroke', and that can be the effects of Bell's palsy."
Is Tulisa Contostavlos still performing?
Still singing, Tulisa most recently headlined Northumberland pride with some very impressive pink hair. After bursting onto the scene with N-Dubz, alongside her cousin Dappy (with the hat – remember him?) and Fazer, Tulisa went on to achieve three solo top 20 singles after the group took a break in 2011.
Yesterday it was announced that N-Dubz are reuniting, dropping a single called charmer on 20 May (this Friday!) followed by a reunion tour in November. This means we'll be seeing A LOT more of Tulisa this year, and we are BEYOND excited.
Tulisa Contostavlos on the N-Dubz reunion
Dappy shared the video on his Instagram account and Tulisa wrote, "They don’t even know what’s coming."
This is the most information we have on her thoughts on the reunion as of now, although she also shared the video on her Instagram account.
What happened between Tulisa Contostavlos and WILL.I.AM?
With Tulisa’s song writing history, the band's new track should be a bangers, especially as she’s written for Britney Spears (sort of).
Back in 2018, the N-Dubz star was awarded 10% of the worldwide publishing rights to the track Scream & Shout (Britney's first number one in eight years) after she was left out of the writing credits – charming.
She helped to write the track with WILL.I.AM when it was called I Don't Give a F--k, for her debut solo album The Female Boss only to be blocked from recording it.
Speaking to Loose Women at the time about the (probably massive) win she said, "At the end of the day it's not a move I would have done. But look at the success that he's got out of it and off the back. I can't complain – I've got a number one hit in loads of countries around the world, so everyone won.
"It's a shame it had to go that way, but chicken dinner, everyone's a winner."
