We were all thrilled when Vicky Pattison found love again after being left heartbroken by her ex-fiancé. And we were even happier when she and Ercan Ramadan moved into their dream home earlier this year. But last week, Vicky gave a candid interview, in which she admitted that she’d bought the Essex mansion in her name alone, and how she worries about the future. She later said that she was scared she had been too honest in the chat, and while she is still very loved-up with her boyfriend of two years, our insider says she’s really trying to ensure she’s protecting herself after learning the hard way in the past.
In November 2018, Vicky’s then-fiancé John Noble was caught in a compromising position on camera in a Dubai nightclub while on a lads’ holiday, leading Vicky to call off their wedding. “Vicky is still struggling with her confidence after her heartbreak with John and their disastrous engagement,” an insider says.
“She’s afraid of feeling that way all over again and being made a fool of. Ercan has been an absolute rock for her, and he idolises and adores her. Everyone thinks he’s really just the sweetest guy, and Vicky agrees. But she’s so scared after what happened with John – he really turned her world upside down, and she’s healing from that.”
The couple have recently moved into a £1.5m home, and Vicky, 33, revealed that she bought the house herself for better financial security, adding that Ercan is younger and just starting out in his career as a personal trainer.

“I had a really hard time with my last relationship. The emotional stuff was hard enough, but what ended up dragging out was the financial side of things,” Vicky said about her break-up with John, who she owned a property with in Newcastle.
“It was such an arduous, upsetting task that I promised myself I would protect myself in the future and not let my heart make the decisions. I’m a hopeless romantic who rushes into things, but I’m more wary now, and I need to protect myself, my money and everything I’ve worked for. I’m certainly not going to be the girl who makes the same mistakes over and over again.”
Vicky described herself as having always been a “painfully insecure” girl who just “wanted to be loved”, and spoke about how Ercan has proved himself to be trustworthy. “I think after what I went through before [with John], it was always going to take a remarkable man to teach me to trust again. Ercan is wonderful, and I credit him with showing me how to love again, but also really helping me to learn to love myself.”

Charlotte Crosby 'suffered a lot' when Gary Beadle wasn't there for her ectopic pregnancy
She admitted she definitely wants kids with 27-year-old Ercan, but it seems she is still holding back. In another interview, the star revealed that she’s being “separate-bedrooms careful” to avoid getting pregnant after having her contraceptive implant removed for health reasons. And while she’s still got wounds to heal from the past, Vicky tells heat she’s getting there.
She says, “I have grown, learnt from past mistakes and am now in a healthy and happy relationship. I can assert what I want and what is right for me, while respecting the other person’s feelings and nurturing the relationship. I think it’s about time we started applauding this kind of strong, healthy growth in women.”
