Victoria Beckham betrayed again – will Posh finally stop fighting for her marriage?

Victoria and David Beckham have certainly achieved a lot this year. As well as celebrating 20 years of marriage (a real rarity in the showbiz world), they’ve both had career highs, with David realising his dream of launching his own football club in America and Posh’s debut beauty line selling out.

However, their work success has come at a price, as heat has been told they’re ending the year leading increasingly separate lives – with Vic upset with David seemingly going back on his word that they’ll spend more time together, both as a couple and a family.

“After much deliberation, they’ve decided to spend Christmas in their Cotswolds home, followed by a holiday in the Caribbean and then a few days in Miami,” our insider says.

“And while they’re planning lots of time together, Vic is already stressed about what the new year will bring. David’s team in Miami is really taking shape and they will play their first game in March, so he will be spending more and more time there. She knows that he’ll hardly be at home and it feels like he’s done a U-turn on the promise he made earlier this year that he would be at home a lot more and not spending as much time in Miami as he first planned. She can’t help but feel betrayed.”

But it looks like David has fallen in love with Miami life and wants to be out there as much as possible.

As heat has previously reported, Victoria – who has children, Brooklyn, 20, Romeo, 17, Cruz, 14, and eight-year-old Harperwith David – had considered spending more time over there but has now realised that, logistically, it won’t work, because she has so many commitments in the UK.

“David seems enthralled with his new life in the US. He’s got a fabulous apartment over there and a very glam lifestyle – he’s always out,” says the source.

“Most of it is promotional work for the club or his endorsements, but all Vic sees is how much fun he’s having, while she’s the one in London with the kids. Things haven’t been easy for her recently – between the financial issues with her fashion brand [which recently posted an annual loss of £12m], the stress of launching the beauty brand, and keeping on top of everything with the children.

"So, after him promising to spend more time with her and help out at home, she gets angry when his work looks like an excuse for him not to be in London – especially when it’s lots of dinners and fun events.”, they continued.

David, 44, recently spent time in Miami with his management team and best friend Dave Gardner, where he signed players for his squad and worked on the official launch, which is happening in February.

While there, he enjoyed a few nights out, including the Dior menswear show, where he partied with the likes ofKate Moss, Bella Hadidand Kim Kardashian. He then flew back to London to spend a day with the family before jetting off to Amsterdam with his friends to watch Dutch Club Ajax play in the Champions League.

While he was in London, David spent quality time with Vic and the kids, first at exclusive London private-members’ club George, where they threw a Christmas party for Harper and her friends. Later on, David took Romeo, Cruz and Harper to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, posting snaps of them enjoying the rides on Instagram.

While Posh loved their family time, our insider says she was upset that David left again so soon, adding that she feels this is a taste of things to come. In the past, she would have demanded he devote more time to them, but we’re told she knows she’s fighting a losing battle.

“At the start of the year, Vic really thought they had started to turn things around, and they managed to get through their 20th-anniversary celebrations in July without any drama,” our insider says.

“But since then, they’ve spent more and more time apart. They barely see each other at the moment, with his current work schedule, he will only really be back in London for a substantial amount of time when she is away and he has to look after the kids – so she’s the one who suffers, because she never gets to see him.

"She feels like she’s constantly having to fight her corner and it’s exhausting. She also finds it really upsetting that David seems to prefer spending time with his friends to spending time with her.”, they said.

But, the insider adds, Vic is laying down the law with David while he’s in Miami and is hoping he’ll listen. “She feels that David has all the fun, and she has to do the hard work,” we’re told.

“She’s told him he needs to cut back on partying. But he isn’t keen on that. When he’s in Miami – although he’s working – he does like to enjoy himself. He doesn’t see why he should stop, and he’s said that when the family come out to visit him, he’ll dedicate all his time to them. Vic feels like she can’t win, but she just has to go along with things.”
