The Beckham boys have been hitting the dating scene hard this year, with Cruz raising eyebrows with his age-gap relationship and cheating allegations, and Romeo pictured out with multiple women.
Now, heat can reveal that – while dad David thinks boys will be boys – mum Victoria is desperate to get her sons back in line and protect the family brand.
The youngest of the couple’s three boys, Cruz, 19, allegedly hasn’t been on his best behaviour. Norwegian singer Bby Ivy, 21 (real name is Viktoria Reitan) has dropped some bombshell revelations about her past romance with Cruz. The star shared a video on TikTok of her kissing the teen as he played guitar, with the caption, ‘This is how we were together and he still cheated.’
The clip was reposted by another of Cruz’s exes, Issey Moloney – with a video showing the two girls on a night out together, with the caption, ‘When he thought you would never find out about each other, but now you’re best friends.’ Cruz was linked to Issey, 19, back in February, just weeks before he was pictured with Bby.
Now, a source tells heat that the cheating allegations have left mum Victoria, 50, not only worrying about what her son might be getting up to, but what any potential romantic partner’s intentions may be with her boys.
‘Vic was devastated when she heard the cheating claims,’ says an insider. ‘While she’s praying that they’re false, there’s understandably a part of her that’s wondering if there’s any truth to them. The thought of any of her sons being a cheat makes her feel sick to her stomach.’
And it isn’t just Cruz who’s causing concern, with Romeo also taking advantage of the single life after splitting with long-term girlfriend Mia Regan, 21, in February. Last month, he was spotted leaving a party with influencer Amelia Gray Hamlin, 23 – who previously dated Kardashians star Scott Disick, 41 – just days after going on a date with model Sophie Julia.
Our source says, ‘Vic has worked so hard to bring her sons up to respect women, so seeing them portrayed as players is really upsetting for her, and she’s petrified that the boys are both going to be labelled as Lotharios. The cheating stories have particularly rattled her – not to mention also being very triggering, given everything she’s been through over the years with David’s infidelity allegations.’
Back in 2004, Victoria and David found themselves at the centre of one of showbiz’s biggest scandals. While David, was playing for Real Madrid, his former personal assistant Rebecca Loos alleged that she’d had a four-month affair with him. Last year, Victoria admitted that time was ‘the most unhappy I’ve been in my entire life’.
But while the drama unfolds, it seems that an unbothered Cruz is already loved-up again. The aspiring singer is currently dating Brazilian model Jackie Apostel, 28, bringing her as his plus-one to VB’s recent fashion show in Paris. She may already be rubbing shoulders with the Beckham brood, but we’re told Victoria is concerned about the significant age gap, after it emerged Jackie is nine years older than her teenage beau.
‘Vic’s incredibly concerned about Cruz and Jackie. She’s worried about the age gap, given he’s just a teenager,’ says our source, who adds that Victoria and David have disagreed over how to approach things. ‘David thinks they need to step back and let Cruz follow his own path, but Vic says that there is a huge emotional difference between a 19 year old and a 28 year old – not to mention her worries about Jackie being in it for the fame. She’s begged David to have a word with Cruz – she’s concerned he hasn’t had enough relationship experience and lacks maturity.’
The source adds that Vic has also turned to her eldest son in the hope he can offer some brotherly advice. Despite being just 25, Brooklyn is happily settled down with wife Nicola Peltz-Beckham, 29, with the pair talking babies in the near future.
Hoping Brooklyn will be the voice of reason, we’re told, ‘Vic’s pleading with him to have a heart-to-heart with Cruz in the hope he’ll be able to talk some sense into him. She hopes Brooklyn will be able to get through to him on a different level, being that he’s also had his romantic ups and downs.’
But we’re told Victoria won’t be too harsh with her precious boys. Our insider says, ‘She is terrified of pushing Cruz away and she’s worried that, if she speaks her mind, she could not only damage her relationship with him, but lead him to rebel and do something reckless like going to live with Jackie in Brazil.’
